This is a great puzzle for beginners. Our puppy figured this out pretty fast. It takes him about 45 seconds to empty it of treats. We still use it and it's fun, but don't expect it to keep a pup occupied for long. Durable, washable, and noisy, but great entertainment.

Love the challenge this provides my small dog, but it’s not durable. After just 2 uses she had chewed the drawers so the slider for the second layer no longer works. Expensive for just a few uses.

I don't usually write reviews, but I do like this company and its products a lot. I have been purchasing dog puzzles since my dog was a few months old. But of all the companies I've purchased from, I find Outward Hound to be the best made and challenging for my dog. I have a Yorkiepoo who is currently three years old. Because this is a special food toy, I don't leave it out for him to get at all the time; otherwise, he would obviously chew on the puzzle and ruin it. I noticed in other reviews, this is a problem, but like I said, don't leave it out. I don't keep it in his toy box; that is for toys he could play with all day long. You should check out the Youtube video: Dog Twister Tips & Tricks by Nina Ottosson- good ideas.

I purchased the Level 3 Advanced treat puzzle over 2 years ago for my senior dog. He's a very smart boy but refuses to use his feet for anything, so he could never get past the spinner wheel in the middle (he would get the 3 outer flaps, though!).Since this puzzle wasn't really doing much for my senior boy, I since tried to gift this puzzle to THREE other friends' dogs. NONE of those dogs could figure this puzzle out either. Like, not even close. They got frustrated and started slamming / chewing without even trying to snuffle the treats out, and that tactic just doesn't work here. The treat puzzle never found its new forever home, and sat around in storage for a couple years. Then...I recently got a 3 month old super smartypants puppy (a mutt, about 1/3rd Siberian Husky), and she solved the entire thing in less than 8 minutes on the first try. I now use it to feed her 1st course of breakfast in the morning, which gives me BARELY enough time to start my coffee as she eats all of the kibble this can hold in about 3 - 4 minutes.TL;DR: this puzzle can be almost impossible for the wrong dog to solve, but basically amounts to a fancy "slow feeder" for rare extra-clever dogs who know to use their feet to spin the wheel. :)I use a heaping 1/2 teaspoon to put small pieces of kibble in each compartment. It has 9 little compartments, so in total the puzzle can hold just under a quarter cup.

Pros:Keeps my dog busy for a bit.Makes him actually work for his treats.Cons:I had to tape down the little orange lock bits because when he would push the puzzle it would shift them. His brain doesn't always work so well (or maybe it does) because he figured out if he scratches at it he can pull some of the pieces off.

Min labradorvalp tyckte den var lagom svår till en början, men lärde sig den lite väl snabbt. Finns inte så många sätt att göra denna leksak svår. Men bra att att är i plats så det är lätt att tvätta.
