When I went to install this card I was provided with a disc for the driver install, except I was expecting a few applications, a few .ini, maybe some .ico files on there, but instead I was greeted with a bunch of folders for like 6 different vendors and devices which made the setup EXTREMELY confusing.I wasn't sure which specific device I had, as I didn't feel like taking my PC apart again to look at the board-In the end, I'm not sure I even installed any of the drivers, but doing a headcount on drives from explorer and testing the CD-RW drive plugged into it, I was able to read the disc I had in there so I have to assume it's working.I don't know if it supports reading and writing from both ports at the same time but for my purposes I don't need it to.

I have vmware ESXi running on an old dell 5070 PC and was able to passthrough this sata controller to a vm, allowing me to virtualize my small nas. Here in case anybody is looking for this answer.

Tuve que cambiar la placa base de mi pc por una nueva, perdiendo dos entradas SATA; esta tarjeta resolvió mi problema. El S.O. la reconoció a la primera, sin usar el cd que viene con el equipo. La recomiendo.

Dropped this into my rig (Gentoo Linux / Custom Kernel) and it required no configuration or system changes. Transfers speeds were as anticipated (am using this with highcapacity HDD not an SDD).

I'm having troubles getting my system to boot with drives connected to this device. I have ubuntu 20.xx on a SSD straight to the board. This device puts another booting system before the actual BIOS or something. Not sure if a driver update can fix that.If I disconnect the drives at boot, and hot swap once the system is live, the drives work. Able to mount and all. Just a hassle if the system auto restarts, it can't come back up until I shut it down and disconnect the drives and reboot. It's a process.

Soms kun je het niet gebruiken op een moederboard als het slot pal naast dat van additionele videokaart zit. Moet je kiezen, hogere data speed of de betere video kaart.

Es ist eben genau dieses. Eine günstige SATA Erweiterungskarte.Eingebaut, läuft prima. Auch unter Linux (Debian 11). Eigentlich nicht verwunderlich, ist das Protokoll doch Standard aber ab und an erwischt man ja doch noch Hardware, die irgendwie glaubt einen eigenen Treiber zu benötigen.Verarbeitung ist gut, keine scharfen Kanten an der Karte oder der Blende. Zugegeben, letzteres ist auch nicht mehr ganz so häufig ein Problem, aber ich finde es trotzdem positiv.Außerdem positiv ist anzumerken, dass die Karte mit 2 Blenden kommt, einem normal langem und einem kürzeren.Einziger Wehmutstropfen, und der ist wirklich klein, ist, dass die Blende nur in Metall und nicht in schwarz verfügbar ist. Aber gut, ich sehe die Rückseite des Gehäuses ja ohnehin nur selten.Haltbarkeit und der gleichen kann ich noch nichts zu sagen, hoffe lange, aber die Karte ist erst kurz in Betrieb.Geschwindigkeit ebenso. Bisher noch nicht gemessen. Aber gefühlt ist das in Ordnung und erfüllt den Standard.

This is a very simple install and it works really well. I wasn’t even sure what to do with it when I got it, but thankfully it just slid in to the pci slot, even though it is much smaller than the full pci slot I had available, and it reconciled it right away and I was able to format it and use it immediately. Very nice adapter card for nvme drive. I highly recommend this card.

Per meno di 20 euro un'ottima scheda che consente di avere due porte aggiuntive SATA per collegare altre periferiche. La scheda giunge corredata anche di una staffa cosiddetta a basso profilo, un mini-cd con i driver (che consiglio di installare comunque in win 7, anche se il sitema riconosce il dispositivo) e una rapida guida cartacea per l'installazione harware e software. L'installazione risulta semplice anche per i profani e non è stato necessario settare particolari voci dal BIOS: si installa e va! Viene riconosciuta anche dalla mia vecchia versione di Ubuntu. Veloce ed utile, la scheda è stata riconosciuta subito dal mio bios (integrato su piastra madre Asus) anche per ottenere il boot direttamente da periferica collegata alla scheda. Un acquisto che mi sento di consigliare a chi ha le mie medesime esigenze di espansione ed ha già saturato tutte le porte sata normalmente presenti sulla mainboard. Acquisto consigliato.----------acquistato quella con sei porte: a differenza di QUANTO DESCRITTO NON CONSENTE IL BOOT!!!
