i found this size just perfect. Combined with my X MONSTER Throw Line 1/8" X 200＇ i am able to get the throw bag into just about any location (with several trys ...) and the bag always gets to the ground even though being held up by extensive canopy and rough bark (pine trees). The only advice i would give is to put a piece of protective tape on your throwing finger - the cordage is nylon and the tape prevents burns.

Best used with an arborists launcher, line and line bag. I use this to get lines for hanging Amateur Radio antennas up very tall trees. Propelled in that manner, make sure there is nobody and no thing down range.

Works well for getting that antenna up there. It doesn't take long to get good at slinging it across a branch. GO POTA!

This is the first throw bag Ive ever used and its hit the ground MANY times. Ive gotten it stuck in the tree and thought for sure I would break it with how hard I was pulling on the line but it held up fine. I read reviews for other brands claiming that the bags were breaking open after little use. I'm glad I didn't have those problems and Im happy with this purchase

Works great to get a line high into the trees. Note that it does contain lead pellets/shot which is not clearly stated unless you read the fine print in the "Materials" section. It works very well for its intended purpose but be aware that it should be properly disposed of if/when it gets damaged and probably should be kept out of reach of children that may choose to eat the lead pellets should they start to leak out...

Good throw bag. Just what I wanted. I recommend getting the lightest one. I got the 10.6 oz and the heavier weight seems to limit high you can throw it straight up.

I have everything Petzl. If you have fun climbing trees, I'd say buy these and go higher. These have multiple uses. Buy both sizes and the light weight line.
