Product Description

About Us
When Plastic Craft first opened its doors in 1934 its first home was a small loft located in lower Manhattan. Today Plastic Craft has long been upgraded from that small loft to a 33,000 square foot manufacturing facility, located in West Nyack, New York, just 30 minutes North of New York City. Plastic-Craft Products provides a high level of customization, fabrication, and assembly for all your plastic needs. We stock sheets, rods, tubes, discs, and shapes in a multitude of plastic varieties. Our state-of-the-art facility has grown with us and is fully capable of cutting any ordered piece to size, with expert staff contain the knowledge and expertise to weld or machine plastic.

Polypropylene, also known as polypropene, is a thermoplastic polymer used in a wide variety of applications. It is produced via chain-growth polymerization from the monomer propylene. Polypropylene belongs to the group of polyolefins and is partially crystalline and non-polar.
Product Specs
Strength/Durability
These polypropylene rods have excellent chemical resistance in corrosive environments and are easily machined. These rods are both lightweight and strong with a hard, smooth surface that is suitable for use where bacterial buildup could be a factor. They are resistant to higher temperatures than other plastics, and are a perfect choice for a plethora of projects!
Light Transmission
Polypropylene is completely opaque. You cannot see through it, and it doesn't allow any light to pass through
Maintenance
If they are used properly Polypropylene chair parts do not usually require any special care. Surfaces which are only slightly dirty can be cleaned with a moistened cloth or sponge. Much dirtier parts can be cleaned using water with a gentle household or neutral cleaner.
Common Uses
- Chemical tanks.
- Plating tanks.
- Firetruck water tanks (copolymer polypropylene)
- Cutting boards for food preparation.
- Semiconductor equipment cabinets and work surfaces.
