I'm not sure why this was even advertised to work with the M12. It didn't work, maybe something with the quality of the product. I would avoid.

Have used these in 1" size or smaller a number of times. It's good to see the 1.5" available and an option versus the big name brands only. 1.5" per-a "expansion pex" isn't widely used yet but allows the option now versus standard pex pipe and fittings.

This expansion head works well. It’s comparable to the name brands and fits my m12 expansion tool the same. Since it is a third party brand, I feel like fit should be a little less expensive and not the same price. Also, in my case, quality control was lacking. One of the expanders wasn’t seated properly and they all fell out. It just takes a minute to put them back into place, but I shouldn’t have to. Once I had it back together, I greased it up and it worked as well as my others. The 1/2” gets the bulk of the work and nice having an extra.

This isn't a PEX-A size that I work with very much, but given the convenience of the system, I wanted to stay consistent throughout some irrigation type projects. After seeing what the big brands are asking, and then seeing this one, it was not a difficult choice, given the overall simplicity of the mechanism involved. A little grease was all it took, and it performed just as well as I expected it to at that size. Really, for the work required to expand 1.5-inch fittings, the struggle is with the tool and not the head, but I was glad to see that this head operated normally. It definitely seems like an exceptional value to me, and I expect I'll get a few other ones from Populo for less common sizes and to have as spares. This was a good find!

This thing spreads the rings no problem, not as smooth as the original I had that got crushed, but an acceptable replacement. One booked marked the company, will buy again if needed.
