first see other reviews from others with technical knowledge about the inside wiring of this power racksecond, why would you buy anything from a seller that cant spell "equipment" and/or "professional"this by far is not a surge protector or power conditioner, it is a glorified rack power outlet, nothing more. i thought there should be a fuse?do not be fooled by the digital read out or the tick tick tick sound it makes when you turn on/off the unitFIRE HAZARD! mine actually starting smoking after a month so i had to shut it down and trash it. i was sent a replacement. this second replacement started making a horrible smell after a week. didnt want to risk it, so i removed itthe rubber feet will get in the way of other rack mounts but thats an easy fix. the feet do not pull out. youll need to remove the cover and push through the pin from the inside so it releases the rubber feet. the unit has a small center bottom vent so i guess having 4 open bottom holes help cooling?also the top front screws are not flush so that also gets in the way of being a true 1u. so in order for it to rack, you must swap the top front screws with the flush flat screws in the back. not sure why flat screws were not used everywherei do suggest buying a rack outlet with the fuse. the cool tick sound and digital readout is just eye candy

The operation is very simple, just press the power switch on the front panel to start the socket, equipped with a large screen LCD display, real-time monitoring voltage, provide upgrade protection, prevent sudden power failure caused by electrical damage, very convenient to use

There are many good things about this device. If the documentation were better, this would be at least 4-star or 5-star product. But the documentation is really bad. It's power ratings contradict each other so I can't tell how much power I can push through this. It also lists it's ratings in Watts, not VA, which I'm pretty sure would be the actual power rating it should have. (Watts and Volt-Amps are not the same thing. Watts is a measure of true power whereas Volt-Amps are a measure of apparent power. Generally this sort of device would be limited by apparent power, not true power.) In one place it says 2000W/ch, in another place it says 6000W/ch and I believe somewhere else I saw 6600W. The only consistent rating I've seen is that it can tolerate both up to 240V. It is rare to find this sort of product that works in both ranges. Although this item has been useful and works well, I can't really trust it because I don't know what the actual ratings are for power draw. The documentation is also very vague about how the modes of operation work, so you have to figure that out on your own.The input voltage monitor is also accurate. I tested the device with a calibrated AC voltage source and the LCD display was accurate +/- 1V from the turn on point, which if i remember correctly was about 17V, all the way up to 240V.

I have this for a while now and been keeping an eye on it. It's be very solid and stable. I can't say how well it actually "conditioned" the incoming power source. But as a power supply it's been fine The connections are a bit strange. But they do work.As far as the LED, it does show very consistently what the voltage is. I like the individual line switches. I don't really know what the "sequencer" thing means. Other than you can turn on each outlet. But that "lamp switch" in recessed into the unit. I guess you need to use something to push it in. I haven't tried and really have no idea what it does. But other than that, it has done a great job as a additional power supply. Keep in mind that the outlets are multi use type. So don't get thrown by the very strange look of them.

This thing is built like a tank. It's made out of a good gauge metal, the power cable is ridiculously thick and the outlets are heavy duty. Inside, everything is tidy and well put together and the wire gauge is appropriate for the power rating of 2000 watts. As far as a power conditioner, I may have missed it, but it's just outlets. I didn't see any capacitors or even a fuse unless the switches themselves are the "surge protection". No signs of any parts that would help clean up the power or protect my gear. Both my Furmans have a 15 amp breaker fuse and a small capacitor. Other than that, it is a great power sequencer, which means I can turn things on and off in a sequence with independent switches. The USB port was able to charge a phone and all the outlets do indeed turn off when you turn them off. It takes up 1.5 rack spaces and I found the voltage reading to be about -4 off of voltage compared to my Monster Power conditioner. There is no guarantee against any damaged equipment and I didn't see anything that sets this apart from being a fancy rack mounted power strip that can sequence power. It does look cool though. For now, I have this plugged into the Furman just to make sure I have protection. For now, ill leave it in the rack but not sure if it's going to stay installed. I'll only be using this for powering guitar amps during reamping so the extra outlets are handy. I just wish there were some apparent surge protection or power conditioning since this is advertised as both.

I like this PSU, particularly the voltage readout, but potential buyers should be aware that the unit is not a true "1U" rack space. It has some screw heads on the bottom of the chassis which may interfere slightly with neighboring devices.
