Pregmate ovulation tests detect levels of Luteinizing Hormone (LH) in urine.
Test procedure:
- Dip the test into the urine for 3-5 seconds.
- Lay the strip flat.
- Read results in 5 minutes.
Positive:
If two lines are visible and the test line is equal to or darker than the control line, one will probably ovulate in the next 24-48 hours. Make love over the next 2 days following the first positive test result to maximize your chances of becoming pregnant.
Negative:
Only one line appears in the control area or the test line is lighter than the control line. This means there is no LH surge.

A positive result indicates the presence of a high amount of Luteinizing Hormone or LH surge.
What is LH surge?
Luteinizing Hormone (LH) is one of the hormones produced by the pituitary gland. It is secreted at very low levels throughout your menstrual cycle. Once a developing egg follicle reaches a certain size, Luteinizing Hormone secretion surges to high levels. This hormone surge is what triggers ovulation about 24 to 48 hours later. Ovulation is the release of a mature egg from the ovary. It signals the beginning of your fertile period.
When to begin testing?
Determine the length of your menstrual cycle before test (The length of the cycle is the duration from your first menstrual bleeding day to the day before the next bleeding begins).
Please refer to the cycle chart to determine when you should start testing. If you do not know your cycle length, you may begin the test 11 days after your first period, since the average cycle length is 28 days.
Example: If your cycle length is normally 26 days, the chart indicates testing should begin on day 10.

this product is very easy to use and has been accurate based on timing and charting etc. The one benefit of this is that they come individually packaged, so you can take them with you individually on the go if you want to test at a certain time everyday to maintain consistency of your charting.This is a good product and something you should use if trying to conceive. The results are easy to read and come fairly quickly.

The Pregmate Ovulation Test strips 50 pack is a great value and I love that each strip is individually packaged inside a resealable bag. These are super easy to use and if you're trying to conceive super helpful in pinpointing the best times to try. Hoping that with the help of these I will be able to have a rainbow baby soon!

I like that these store easily. Also, there is good value for the amount of tests included. I think that this brand is quite like other brands that I have used. I like that the test strips are designed to be wider. Sometimes my ovulation turns positive quickly, and I want to get as accurate a read as possible. The wider design helps me to better determine when that ovulatory surge is occurring to time for ttc. I hope this review helps you!

When you are planning a family, you need to take costs of the baby before it arrives. These ovulation test strips are just as accurate as the other (more expensive) brands. I would rather spend the money of my child than predicting my ovulation. Because this is a 50 pack, I do not have to worry about the fact that I am testing twice a day to get the most accurate time for peak ovulation.

These are just as accurate as the other brands but they are much more cost effective for those that are trying to track their fertility much more closely. The pregmate brand is great for pregnancy tests as well, so we have both and used them to confirm our last 2 pregnancies and to help with planning on when to try. Note that you may need more than you think if you are going to track twice a day. More than that isn't really going to be beneficial for most people.

These tests are super easy to use, and very similar to other more expensive brands, but not nearly as pricey for the amount you get! They have a control line and then the test line, which will get darker and darker as you approach ovulation. Really helpful for family planning, and getting such a large pack means I don’t have to stress as much about taking the test multiple times in a day while trying to catch my peak surge.

These ovulation tests are well packaged and have been consistently accurate for me. I appreciate that they come in a resealable bag for storage purposes. I wish the instructions came in paper format, not just through the qe code on the back, but they're pretty self explanatory so I guess that's not necessary.

Packaged in a resealable bag. The test strips are individually wrapped as expected. Test strips seems to work fine as long as you follow the directions to the letter. A clean dry container is needed to dip the test strips in, and results must be read at the 5-minute mark, results outside the test window might not be accurate.This company has an app that you can use to take photos and keep track of your ovulation, however the app is only available on iOS and they do not have an app for Android. If on Android, I suggest you try a different product or take the price into consideration when comparing other products.
