One end of the plastic tube is permanently sealed. Durable, injection-molded bottom is stronger and offers greater impact resistance. I wanted to put liquids in these- they leak and the plastic is too flexible to be durable enough for my purposes. Lid pops off. Not worth the money.

They were perfect for a waterproof antenna component I was building for an amateur (ham) radio antenna. (I'm sure the manufacturer never considered this.) In my case, it is housing a high-voltage coaxial capacitor used to lower the impedance of a Zepp antenna. The length and width were perfect, and the removable cap is really waterproof; it gives a very tight seal. (In fact, it was difficult to remove it the first time.) So a pair of these are hanging on an antenna wire up about 100' in the air, and it survives heavy rainstorms. I used to use PVC pipe, but: (1) These are much lighter, (2) These are transparent, so I can see the internals, and (3) These have a removable cap in case of maintenance or repair work.A strange use, but they worked perfectly.

These tubes are made very well. I purchased this set to tape behind my mother's fridge to house the important information that EMS would need, should 911 be called. My papers fit perfectly.

The tube is a great size for what I need. And the structure and construction are great.So why one star?The cap doesn't stay on.The most perfect tube in the world is of no use to me, if the cap falls off without probable cause, and the contents end up everywhere.It is all going on a. one way trip to the dump.Trash.

I have been able to separate out my masonry bits, wood bits, metal bits and spade bits into different containers and it's made my drill drawer a lot more pleasant.My wife is using these containers for her crocheting needles.I'm sure there are 101 uses for these containers, and if you have such a need, I recommend these.

They work great for what I want, but they are definitely not made to store liquids. That wasn't what I intended so they're a perfect addition to my craft room.
