Bought a 3/4 cello case for my string baby… way too small. I know my cell is a 3/4… I have had it since I was 14 (I am 52 now)!! Got a 3/4 and it didn’t fit! Returned it. I have to say, it was really well made, looked sturdy enough!

The case is nicely designed and comfortable but the padding is on the thin side.

Fits full size perfectly. Needed a college bag to transport cello across campus to lessons and rehearsals. This bag is sturdy but light and the foam helps protect my cello during transport. It has unexpected pockets for storage and even a place for the bow with a secondary bow sleeve.

a little firm and difficult to get the cello into initially but with use becomes easier - shoulder strap is a bonus

I have been looking for a good case for my cello a while back. I take it frequently to my university for lessons and rehearsals. I had the silver series of this case before but I kept bumping into everything and I didn't like that. The silver series does not have any padding. The Gold Version on the other hand has a nice thick padding and the cello feels safe inside. During my search for a case, I was hoping to find images of the inside of this case, but found none. So now I have decided to share a picture of my case and the inside :) I hope this helps other people take a decision.I got my case yesterday and will use it today for the first time, but already I can tell this case is sturdy and protects well. Since this case is thicker and weighs more, I added a bit of extra padding to the straps and the rear bag of this case so I can feel even more comfortable. :)

The best cello bag ever. It is soft and light like a bag should be, but is is super-padded and firm. (It will stand by itself in a corner without the cello inside, similar to the "Cocoon" soft case, but lighter.) The removable bow holder holds two bows in separate padded pouches and the holder has a handle. Exceptional attention to detail, excellent craftsmanship. I love all the handles. It's perfect. Because this case is so much lighter and easier to handle, I sold my very expensive, super-light carbon fiber case. Since I only take it in the car to rehearsals I don't need anything heavy duty. But this case that I ordered sight-unseen was a very pleasant surprise. It is perfect for my needs.. Highly recommend.

Fits really snug. The bow pocket is a little tight with my cello in the case. The zippers are great and there are a ton of staps for different holding options. I walk and commute with SF Muni,so having backpack straps and multiple hand options is important. Padding is average. Love that there is an end pin hole. When I put the backpack straps on, it felt SUPER secure and comfy. I feel like I could walk around all day with the cello on my back. For price and function, it's a win!

Superb case. Don't hesitate to buy it if you're looking for a great gig bag. This is my 2nd Protec gig bag. I have one for electric bass that I also use constantly. The 2 outstanding features of the cello case are the zippers and the 2 bow case that fits inside the bow holder compartment. The bow case will be great if you need to take your bow(s) to be re-haired or just want to bring along spares e.g. for recording sessions.Protec zippers are the most well made of all the cases I have for my instruments, even more so than the Reunion Blues. They're very fast and never snag at all & perfectly aligned. If you do many gigs and need to move quickly from venue to venue, you know how important that is. This company "gets that" in spades & you can see how they accomplished it in the design. The case opens fully for easy removal and entry. another important factor in running from gig to gig, venue to venue.I think what I'm trying to say is that this case works with you 100% and does not obstruct or fight you. it's clear too that this case will last for many years. At first I thought that it may be "pricy". But when it arrived and I saw the overall craftsmanship and how well thought out it was, I have no problem recommending this case to other cellists, without hesitation..
