Layer is very thin. Seems durable. But it is not.I put it on my new Duncan Fearnley Retro 5* bat after oiling. The adhesive is good. This thing is very transparent. You cannot tell from even a foot away if there is a bat facing on the bat. The only indication is the slazenger logo on the layer. It looks really classy on the retro bat. I uploaded a picture. This is where the good part ends.**UPDATE**The material stretches and immediately deforms like your average plastic sheet. During knocking process, it developed long strains of deformed bubbles at the edges of the bat. The deformation is very surprising. When I tried to take it off the bat, it started tearing like a low quality plastic material.Strongly discouraged from buying this product.
