I had this model and it cracked when I dropped it moving. We use it due to hard well water and is perfect for us. No smell, tastes great, flows good. I will add to review if I find I have to replace the filter more often with the water in our new place.

I got this last or the year before. Can't recall. I'm lazy on reviews.... However, it works great. It's better than the Sink version. It's easier to clean. The water tastes great. I bought it cause my sister has one and I liked it, so she pretty much recommended me. =3

Once upon a time, we had a trusty Pur water filter pitcher (this model) that gave us a solid few years of trouble-free hydration. But then, it started leaking like a sieve, drip, drip, drip all day and night, so we had to put a Tupperware container under the fridge to catch the drips. We eventually tossed it and upgraded to a Pur system for our kitchen sink faucet, which worked like a charm for many years. Then disaster struck: our kitchen sink faucet (not the filter, mind you) started leaking. My partner came home with a fancy new combo sprayer faucet, which meant our trusty faucet filter was now useless. So, we bought a filter pitcher, hoping for the best. Alas, this new pitcher leaked like a waterfall right out of the box, emptying all its water in an hour or less. We had to return it.Now, we're on a quest for a new filter pitcher, but all the reviews are horror stories about leaks or filters that make the water taste like fish after a week to a month or so.Seriously, let us decide when to replace the filter, not your timing! Maybe we got a dud this time, or maybe the spigot design is just terrible (I'm leaning towards a poorly designed spigot. Either way, I can't recommend this unit. If it had lasted a couple of years before leaking, fine. But straight out of the box? No way!I personally believe when we close the spigot on a filter pitcher that we shouldn't even get one drip let alone a fine flow of water like this one provided after closing the spigot.It looked nice, it had a nice quantity of water it could hold but the leaks, oh the leaks. No thanks.

My wife purchased this exact filtered pitcher a few years ago, and has worked out very well and lasted a long time. I recently had a small accident after cleaning it out and attempting to change the filter where the inner blue portion fell from the dish drain above my since and fell into the sink, cracking in a few spots. I did not notice the cracks right away and simply just rinsed it off and put the new filter in and began using it. When I noticed bubbles floating up and water dripped through and not passing through the filter, I realized there were some thing cracks that formed and it was time for a replacement.The original pitcher was at least 3-4 years old and I lost track because I bulk purchased filters during Covid because they became harder to find and I had a stash in the home for over a year (filters on average should be changed approx every 3-4 months, but I found the name brand would clog and stop working much sooner than the recommended gal/monthly change rate. I spotted an off brand supply that seemed to work longer, were cheaper and offered more filters in the case, so I stocked up!)I honestly cannot drink the water from my faucet as it has a terrible taste and smell, and I grew up in the late 80's early 90's drinking from the sink, the hose in the backyard and water fountains in school - for me not to drink the water in my home these days, there is definitely something wrong. PUR filters kill the smell and bad taste and make drinking water a pleasure again. For someone who has diabetes and high blood pressure, drinking enough water daily became a hard task until my wife purchased our first pitcher. Knowing that this product works, and allows me to enjoy the taste of water again, I made sure to replace the old with this new one, and bought more filters, too! LOL! Best part, I can re-purpose the lower section without the blue insert and still put other drinkable substances in there if needed (add fruit and water as an example or possibly home made iced tea) and still dispense it from the fridge.For those that rely on the TL;DR type reviews, it's a great product, lasts long, works wonders in the filter department as well as easy to clean... just don't attempt to dry and hang from a high place, if it falls it will get damaged... otherwise, worth the money and cheaper than buying bottled water at the store that tastes just as awful as my sink water.Hope this review was helpful!

The water started leaking after 2 months of use. It was good while it lasted but I was hoping it would last longer than 2 months.

This is my interim answer and a good way to always have cold water in my fridge. So far, I love it. I have no complaints about the filtration, but when putting the water in the fridge, I found water was condensing on the outside of the water dispenser, and dripping inside my fridge. I found some bins that I use had a lot of water in them. They were directly below the dispenser. I took it out of the fridge and set it on the counter, to test if it was leaking, and it was not, so I left it on the counter. I prefer having it cold, but I can't afford to waste food that gets wet from the condensate. I like the large size so I don't have to fill it up so quickly, and I'm happy with the taste of the water. And the price was great too. I'd never go back to bottled water. This save so much money and provides a better quality water.

I had this brand filter in my other apartment but I movedcouldn’t installed directly from the tap in my other apartment, so I decided to buy that kind of filter, after reading some bad reviews I decided to buy another filter (popular) and I was disappointed, so I returned, so I got Pur and I am satisfied, it would take some time to filter but trust me, the water will taste good

El tamaño es ideal para una familia con 2 hijos pequeños muy sedientos. Prefiero saber que están tomando agua 100% limpia. Se tarda muuucho en filtrar, asi que en la noche, lleno la parte de arriba y todo el dia estan tomando de la reserva, nunca se me ha terminado. Pero si se llegara a acabar, tendrias que tener mucha paciencia, pues filtra muy lentamente.
