i bought these to use for carpet tackstrip on old hard concrete. normally i buy at lowes but the cost is pretty high so when i saw this deal i had to grab it. when using a 1/4 inch concrete drill bit these anchors DO NOT fit snug like supposed to. they fall in the hole and dont expand out enough when driving the nail down.

I have used these before in industrial applications. They work perfectly with standard masonry bit diameters. But make sure that you want a permanent installation as you will not get these out of the wall or floor without grinding the heads off and pounding the stud in. Be advised not to use these in a masonry joint between bricks. Mortar is not strong enough to resist the compressive strength that the studs generate. Be careful not to use too close to the corner of a brick as it will also fracture. I recommend 1 in minimum from any Edge.

Got these to hang clipstone veneer onto concrete and made it a breeze to install them with a hammer drill. I was expecting a few to be defective, but all were in usable shape. Zero issues with these.
