I use an 1 1/2 inch inserted milling cutter that holds these inserts on one of my old Bridgeport mill that has a #2 spindle taper instead of R8. These inserts help overcome the machine's lack of HP and still give me pretty good material removal rates. Along with a great surface finish I could not get with a fly cutter.

These LINZUAN RCMT0602M0 Circular milling Cutter Inserts worked very well in my lathe. I used a SRACR121206 cutting tool holder. The ad says that it can be used in SGCR/LSRDCN milling Cutter Holders as well.My test cut was on the remains of a hardened steel jack hammer bit. It worked very well and gave a good finish with light cuts. During cutting there was a decent amount of chatter until I slowed it down to less that 100 SFPM. For this piece that was 250 RPM. My setup is not as rigid as it should be and I have chatter using other cutters as well.
