Useful if it fits, but it's construction seems iffy. Feels like aluminum cast. I didn't get a chance to use it because it didn't fit my pump. Although the description assured me that it would. will not fit 5.31, it's bigger than that. waste of money on my part.

It worked great and didn’t cost $200 like some of the others.

First off - this tool did help me get the plate off and back on, but it has some issues.Removing the ring was impossible using this tool alone. Trying to center to posts and then have them stay in place was next to impossible which lead to only about 75% purchase on the slots in the ring which was not enough to free them. I ended up using some WD-40, a large slotted screw driver and a 20 ounce hammer to slug the ring free from being frozen and then used this tool to remove it the rest of the way.Getting the ring back on was easier, but due to the stupid design (what is wrong with an 8-screw hold down???) I could not use the tool and hold the fuel pump in place at the same time. After ~ 30 minutes of struggle I got my wife to hold the pump in place, hand tightened the ring just enough to hold it in place and then used the tool to finish it off.Bottom line... I needed this tool to do the whole job, but it definitely has some limitations.Your experience could be very different than mine (good or bad!).
