Great idea but not stable enough to stay in place..

This ramp has solved the issue of getting up and down for our aging dogs. I would have given 5 stars if they had included "4" guards instead of just "3". Doesn't make sense - really need a fourth one to aid in making our dogs feel safe. Do note that we have a bench at the foot of our bed - this allows the ramp not to be so steep to climb. Well worth the cost. NOTE: Would love to have another guard!

I have very mixed feelings on this ramp, which is why I netted out at a 3-star rating. I will explain the positives and the negatives for you.First, let's start with the positives:+ Fully Assembled: I was prepared to do some assembly when I opened the box, and NONE WAS REQUIRED. Wow, fully assembled for me. All that you have to do is select the angle of the ramp, but that is not really assembly (no tools required, as this is an option that is easily changeable by design).+ Easy to Use for My Dog: My Pembroke Welsh Corgi learned how to use this ramp in about 30 seconds. Literally, he understood it. Granted, Pembrokes are smart, and mine especially (spoken like a true dog owner), but you shouldn't have trouble teaching your dog to use this ramp. Cats will probably give you a dirty look and expect YOU to use the ramp. Do not attempt to use the ramp. It's not made for humans!+ Non-Slip Design: The ribbed carpet on the ramp is very nice and functional. Nice design. It works.+ Easy to Adjust: Changing the angle of the ramp is super easy and takes just seconds with no tools required. Couldn't be easier.+ Optional Rails: I think this is mostly for the pet owner's peace of mind. It's a nice thing that they are included, but we do not use them. It's easy to leave them off or add them later (no tools required). Now for the things that I don't like, starting with the WORST:- Poor Factory Assembly: I guarantee you that somebody at the factory was using a power screwdriver when the screws were attached to the wood piece supporting this ramp underneath (the angled assembly that allows you to adjust the angle of the ramp). I say this because the wood screws were stripped out partially and the entire ramp collapsed when my 28-pound dog was using the ramp. Nobody was injured, but it took me replacing the tiny wood screws from the factory with slightly larger screws into the same holes in order to get the ramp back in service. Larger screws overcame the stripped out holes that occur when you are tightening a wood screw with too much force. Not just everybody has wood screws of the proper length and girth lying around to fix shoddy manufacturing when it fails. Further, our dog could have been injured in this accident, but he was not. I highly recommend that you test the screws attached to the bottom of the ramp with a screwdriver to ensure that they are tight and not stripped out before your dog walks on this ramp.- Price: This is not an inexpensive ramp! At the current $129 price, I'd say this is just an OK value. Certainly not a good or great value. A much better value would have been $89 or $99.Overall, I am not too sure about this ramp. While there is a lot to like, as noted, the failure of the ramp was concerning to me, and the price is nothing to write home about. You may shop around and decide to buy this anyway, but I definitely encourage you to shop around on Amazon.

I’ve got an old dachshund dog that is famous for his struggle of climbing stairs or jumping on/off heights, especially when they’re older..This product is THE BEST!! Lately my dog was just laying on the cold floor next to me while I was comfy at my sofa and I had to physically get him on/off - NO MORE! Thanks to this ramp he’s so happy and independent again:)The ramp arrived quickly and was already assembled and ready to use, feels solid!Definitely recommend it!

This ramp is excellent. So, sturdy and well made.It has different height adjustments, which are lovely. It is carpeted with industrial-type carpet. My dog, coaxed with a treat, ran up and down the ramp on the first try. I had to tell him to use the ramp a few times as he was scared at first, but after a few attempts, he was a pro.He automatically uses it now.It is the best thing that I bought for him.It saves my back lifting him too.

I bought this ramp because it was one of the few that claimed to support my 75 pound dog. The carpet is so slippery that he slides off and is unable to use the ramp. It might work fine for small dogs. It was easy to assemble and is easy to fold flat for storage. If you are considering this for a dog over 10 pounds please reconsider.

It came with the frame at the top-corner dislodged as if it was missing some wood-glue or a nail. It it was not sturdy for a medium sized dog, especially one that has hip issues. The carpet is not adequate for traction except for a cat with claws. I am returning it due to my dog not being able to use it safely.
