Purposely made to fit poorlyPiston boot fits loosely in caliper , piston seal too bigPulls air , brakes get soft, then heat up the air , then air expands , brake drag, they get hotter , it gets worse , then you cook everything and warp rotors …Then your forced to buy cheap crappy Chinese garbage rotors and things get even worse for youMeanwhile they are pointing and laughing at us

My previous experience with many auto parts made in China has been mixed at best. Some parts have been of acceptable, sometimes even good quality, many others have been truly abysmal. The made in china bearings (tapered roller and ball) I have attempted to use have demonstrated very poor quality control, potentially substandard lubrication (for sealed bearings) and poor heat treat. Some rubber and plastic parts have deteriorated very quickly, while some other parts have had an acceptable service life. I am greatly concerned about the quality of these rubber brake materials, well, because a failure in an automotive braking system is a significant safety issue. There is no way I can tell by a visual inspection that the rubber used in these Raybestos caliper repair kits will hold up to standard DOT 3/4 brake fluid over time. I will chance it for the short term, but I am seeking a made in the USA alternative, especially since rebuilding a caliper does not take me much time.
