So far so good, have used it to wail on some very stuck bolts and suspension parts and it hasn't started to fall apart. Handle is comfy too.

I purchased this to drive tree branches into a cast iron splitter. The splitter is fixed to an old tree stump to hold it solid, the log is press atop the splitter, then the hammer is used to drive the log over the splitter blade. This takes a lot more force that I originally expected. My old wooden-handled 2# hammer just was not up to the task. This 3# solid hammer works much better. Since it is all steel, I don't worry about the head flying off as I did with my old wooden-handled hammer.This hammer, 3#, is sufficient to get a log started on the splitter and, in many cases, is heavy enough to drive the log through the splitter. However, sometimes it is necessary to go to a long-handled sledge hammer to drive the tree (especially stringy wood like birch or very dense wood like oak).This is definitely a quality product and one I'm glad to have in my woodshed!

The hammer is fine, a great size and weight for smaller jobs. I just wish they had not painted it black. The black surface fails after the first use and makes the hammer rather dangerous to touch. The black “paint” flakes off and can cut your skin. Not great when reaching into a toolbox to grab it.

Great hammer, small enough to get into tight places others will not. Handles is comfortable and does not slip out of the hand with our without nitrile gloves, even when they are a little slick. I'm not sure about the star end of this hammer, if I'm going to smash something, I'm using a standard sledgehammer.Beat a few control arms to free a ball joint, drove a strut mount stud out of the plate, no issues and little wear on the hammer head.

This stubby hammer is great!I needed a smaller, but still hefty hammer for working on cars. This thing fits the bill perfectly!Nice handle grip, and is pretty sturdy. 3lb hammer in a small form is great for doing front end work and persuading stuck on brackets and tie rods/ball joints.Fairly priced, and exactly what I needed! If you need a small hammer with some meat behind it, grab this one!

Very well put together. Excellent for hitting things. I use it to hit logs, but I suspect it would just as good for hitting other things, like bricks for example.
