It does the job but there has to be better ones out there, wiring is easy enough, but the fitment of the trim piece could be better, and the camera quality is not that great

Was easy to install and now I can easily see the hitch to hook up the trailer. The low res image is acceptable but could be much better with an HD version of this camera. So my only complaint is... it would be nice if the Car Audio industry would adopt the HD format for a Coax camera they are very low in cost now and would greatly improve the image.The Good:Acceptable image and easy to install and reasonable in cost.The Bad:The image could be MUCH better with the adoption of a HD over coax format, this would GREATLY improve the image. But this is a Car Audio industry issue not a camera manufacture issue.

I've been running this camera for a year and a half now. Very good quality, night clarity is amazing, and perfect angle to see your trailer hitch. Far exceeded my expectations and highly recommend.

The camera is terrible quailty js not good at all. Can hardly see out of it and it’s even worse at night. Also the cover didn’t have any adhesive on the back of it. I’m very disappointed for the price I paid.

I think what many don't consider is that your camera is limited by what your stereo screen can display. The best camera out there won't do justice if your screen sucks lolSo my screen is fairly mediocre, but this is a great camera. Best of all, it beautifully sits in the bezel so as to avoid the legendary tacky look of a license plate camera. I think one improvement the manufacturer could make would be for the connector to have a threaded end with nut, similar to how the power connectors on inflatable holiday decor works. This would be a good way to not only help seal out moisture, but prevent the connections from disconnecting. I used some good 3M electrical tape around the connection to keep it in place.

Installed this on my 2003 Silverado. Install Tip.... remove all of the foam and double sided tape from the back side. It fits perfectly without the foam tape. Not sure why they put that thick foam tape on it. I was going to install thinner tape but it doesn't need it. I can just see the top of my hitch. Backing up to a trailer is a breeze and the wide angle is perfect. Have relied on mirrors to backup this truck for 20+ years. Feels like I'm cheating now.

On a 1999 Silverado, I was inspecting a better quality picture on my 1080p radio but it looked just okay. I believe all of them will look similar the same. I like the wide camera. And I would buy this camera again

I definitely recommend this camera to anyone with a 99-07 (07 classic or better known as 07 Cateye). Camera is good quality and has a great view. Perfect for me backing up to trailers by myself. I did have some small issues but I contacted customer service and they were quick to respond and help me figure out the issue. (It was an issue with my radio). The fitment is definitely a lot better than the other tailgate trim pieces out there too. At night you can see perfectly just like it was daytime. It’s nice that it comes wire loomed already and comes with connectors and it’s super simple to install. 10/10 recommend this camera!

There's gaps and wedges all over the place. Doesn't fit into the OEM grooves without some persuasion.When fully mounted it still wobbles up and downa nd requires 3M tape to keep it mounted, the factory one did too.The caera is good, picture is great, no other complaints, just bad tolerences.

**Update. Its been close to 2 years since I installed this camera. It still works. No major issues. The only minor issue is the handle is loose and will fall out some times when the gate is opened. A bit of 2 way tape should help stop that. ***I have read others review on this camera. I was leery about buying it. It has been close to 2 months now. It has been in the rain, through a couple of car washes and no issues. The picture quality is great during the day. Now the night vision is something that needs work. Hard to see if no other lights around. Other than that, it has been a great camera.
