My rag top was in good condition but I wanted to reblack it. 500ml of renovo was enough to do two coats on my Audi convertible. Strange but I don't notice any change in colour, I wanted it to go jet black and that did not happen.

It's seems quite runny at first but as long as you squeeze the excess from the brush I found it really easy to apply without it dripping or running. My MX5 mk2 hood was quite badly soiled and faded in places (over 20 years old) and it looks as good as new now. I managed one coat inside and out and then a second coat outside from one 500ml bottle. Being very careful not to let it drip it went on the inside of the hood like a charm so all that sun fading inside is now also gone.

Top...

The reviver worked as claimed. I used it to dye a brown convertible to black. Care must be taken when applied to avoid runs because it is very watery. One bottle was enough for two coats on a Miata

Loved the end result but not that I thought I was getting a liter and instead got 500ml. Had to repurchase to get a 2nd coat on my mini...would have cost me $80 for a liter and now costing me $120 :(. 3 stars for showing a large bottle in the photo but 5 stars on results- you will need a liter for 2 coats!Buying the proofed next...maybe the vendor will give me a discount on that and I can change my rating.

Truly an amazing product. I have a super aged and worn out dark blue top on a BMW and this stuff revived it back to life. I was originally a bit sceptical but decided to go ahead and try it out anyways. Not only I no longer see the hideous blue (went from dark blue to black), but it gave the car a much needed facelift.I highly recommend it

The top looks great now, as good as new. It took a few extra days to come but I still got it sooner than the estimate I was given at the order.

First I cleaned my fabric top with a scrub brush, and after allowing for drying overnight. Then, I taped off the edges. I then painted the reviver on with a three inch paintbrush, allowing for three hours drying time in the sun between coats. After three coats I used a fabric sealant, applying in the same manner as above. The result was very good. Not great, but 10 times better looking than before. The fabric has a bright black shiny look, and the water beads when the top gets wet. The white stretch streaks where the metal frame stresses the fabric are gone. I highly recommend this product. The auto body shop dudes and detailers I surveyed do not know of this product, and I felt very vindicated after using this, knowing I outsmarted them all. Oh, I have a 09 Silver Saturn Sky.

I have never been tempted to write an Amazon review before, but upon reading the ones here, I feel like it is in order. The product worked absolutely perfectly for me and my convertible top looks more or less brand new. You have to follow the instructions, though. It is absolutely imperative to wash the top first with a product designed to remove not just dirt but oil, mold, and other contaminates. I did this twice with a power washer and brush with moderately stiff bristles using a product I got for $8 or so at a local car parts store. A couple days later, I washed it again before applying the Renovo. If the surface is not clean and free of contaminates, you are going to get a patchy look because it can't absorb properly.I applied the product with a 2 inch brush overlapping the strokes a little from the center to the side IN SHADE. Again, if you do it in direct sunlight, you will not get good results. When it dried, I did it again and touched up areas that needed it. When it was dried, I treated it with Scotchgard (again from the auto store) and that was it.So . . . takes several hours and you have to apply it methodically and with care (i.e. slowly), but it works great. If you can't make that kind of time or have that kind of patience, take it to a pro or get someone else to do it. However, for a total of about $50 and maybe 4-5 hours of work, my 10 year old car looks new (well, at least the top does.)

I've read many reviews on this product and I can only say if it did not out well for you, you must have done something wrong. My 16 year old convertible top, which I actually bought from a junk yard, literally looks new. With two bottles of the black recover and ultra proofer. I am 110% satisfied. Highly recommended it. But follow instructions to the letter. You can't go wrong. I didn't rush the process and I took a whole weekend to do the job...RIGHT!!!
