My local roadrunner pair love these mealworms - especially in winter. They come to my front door about once a week asking for them. I give them some in a dish with added water and they gobble them up. Good stuff.

As the seasons change and the bluebirds head South on their rounds my bluebird houses await them and a feeder full of hydrated Mealworms. I have lived here for four years and for all that time a Gulf Coast toad has taken up residence in one of my plants and I thought I would try to supplement his diet with some mealy worms because they are high in protein and he absolutely loves them. I just give them to him a few at a time because I don’t want him to become too dependent on me when there are so many insects that come out at night that he can feast on.

We kept buying dried worms that looked very old and the hedgehog wouldn't eat much, but he loves these and they are fresh and crispy. He eats the whole bowl every night.
