INDICATIONS FOR USE:

Sav-A-Hoof Spray is for treating and preventing white line disease, seedy toe, thrush, candida yeast, and aerobic and anaerobic bacteria.

HOW TO APPLY:

The Spray comes in a convenient, easy-to-apply liquid formula. Spray on affected areas of the hoof wall, sole, and frog, including the coronet band. For prevention, spray the entire hoof and under shoes and pads if they are used.

HOW OFTEN TO USE:

After cleaning the feet, apply spray daily to infected areas of the hoof until defects grow out. For maintenance and prevention, use 1 or 2 times a week.

HOW IT WORKS:

Sav-A-Hoof Spray”s fights most hoof infections without harming the young, sensitive hoof tissue trying to grow out. It prevents bacteria from reproducing and multiplying. The liquid binds to hoof protein and forms an antiseptic barrier against infection after drying. Sav-A-Hoof Spray is safe for the horse and humans. The Spray contains no formaldehyde (formalin), peroxide, heavy metals, or copper sulfate.

Reasons I like using this product. First I don’t end up with purple hands. Second the spray gets the treatment everywhere on the hoof. Third and most important, it works.

This is definitely worth the money. I’ve tried so many different types of antiseptics on the market for absences. Non of them truthfully have done anything but be expensive and not work. This one I can say with having my own horses who are prone to frequent absences has been a life saver (and doesn’t dye everything in its proximity either).

No scent at all, which is nice, and in just THREE days, the cracks at the top of my horse's frogs were almost closed, and the one at the front of his front toe stopped spreading. I continue to see progress every day. The sprayer was a little tricky to get the right stream from in the beginning, but is great now.

I chose this particular spray since White Line is the first listed reason to treat..... The vet suggested I use something regularly for my mini donkey.... He doesn't like the sound of a spray ... but this spray is very quiet and he doesn't mind it at all.... Guess it will remain to be seen about its effectiveness when he has his next appointment in December. As for value for the money... it seems to be one of the more expensive sprays... but if it works... it will be well worth the cost. I am adding this note to a previous review..... I have been using this on the horses now as well as the mini dunk.... Buying refills is economically sound.
