3M Scotch-Brite XL-UW unitized deburring wheel uses silicon carbide as the abrasive material and has a diameter of 6 in. The arbor attachment allows for easy mounting to the tool or pad. In addition to the other aspects of these parts, another important component of these is the thickness. This 3M part is 1/2 in thick. All abrasive products that rotate or spin, such as the ones in this category, have a maximum speed at which you can run them. This 3M deburring wheel can be run at a maximum speed of 5000 RPMs.

The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ EXL Unitized Wheels feature a soft, conformable consistency that effectively smoothes, deburrs and finishes the edges of metal alloys, as well as many plastics and composites. There are a wide variety of densities and grades available starting from a very soft 2 density for applications requiring a conformable product extending to a hard, aggressive 8 density for maximum cut and durability. The finished result is a clean edge without smearing, reducing the need for additional clean up and preparation. Designed for optimal performance on a die grinder, the EXL Unitized Wheel minimizes heat buildup during operation, making it ideal for use on heat sensitive materials.
The EXL Unitized Wheel is filled with abrasive minerals to quickly smooth edges of metal, plastic and composites. It is available with aluminum oxide in fine, medium, coarse and extra coarse grades, and silicon carbide in very fine and fine grades.
Scotch-Brite™ is a unique surface conditioning product with abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon fibers. Combining abrasives with the fibers creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results over the life of the product. The open-web material is load resistant and keeps the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging of the nylon fibers.

I use this wheel regularly and it is a pleasure. It will debur sheet metal parts and buff off the main marks. You still need to finish the parts properly but as a first stop for clean up this wheel is a winner.

I h have some old stainless steel pings that were all done he’s up. I bought this to help refurbish the clubs. It worked liked a charm to take out the dings and make the clubs ready to polish.

Great for buffing and smoothing metals, wise not to use this wheel until your work is generally smooth, and you're trying to surface Finish. I use these for refinishing golf clubs and I swear by them. Great seller too.
