  • Proprietary Puss/Pull Slap Switch
  • Prewired 3-Knob Control Harness

Seymour Duncan STC-3M3 active preamp for Ernie Ball/Music Man bass guitars with 3 control knobs. On board Tone Circuits for adding tremendous tonal versatility. Enables the player to add to subtract EQ at center frequencies voiced specifically for electric bass. They feature low noise, low distortion and high headroom. Useful for all musical styles and genres.

Three bands of active EQ, plus the proprietary Slap Switch. The lows are deep, clear, and tight. The mids range from ultra-smooth to punchy and all points in between. The treble control can produce a very wide, very usable response that is brilliant, yet smooth without any brittleness. Pulling up on the volume knob engages the proprietary Slap Switch, a special EQ contour made just for slap-style playing. See website for frequency response charts.

This is an awesome 3 band eq replacement for Sterling StingRay Subs. I also swapped the original pickup for an Aguilar AG 4M, and this bass now growls like never before. Even my luthier who replaced it for me said, "The sound out of this thing is otherworldly now." Agreed, it is. It literally joins the ranks, in regards to sound and look, with my more expensive basses.I will tell you one thing though, the Sterling Sub has less cavity space for this eq rather than the Ernie Ball Stingray bass guitar. I noticed somebody else had mentioned this in brief on the Q & A portion of the reviews. My luthier had to shave a slit inside the cavity to get the motherboard to fit.If you love and live to slap you'll love engaging the slap feature on this by pulling up on the volume knob - bonkers! I also like that I have a knob for mids too now. The bottom is bottomless, and the treble is crisp. You can't go wrong with this eq!

I returned the first pre-amp I received from the vender not working. I returned the faulty pre-amp to the manufacture in exchange for a new one and received it back, matched it with my Seymour Duncan pick-up in my Sterling sub series Sting Ray bass the different is Night and Day. I highly recommend doing this if you've purchased an inexpensive Bass and want to up-grade it. I'm very satisfied with the out-come.

I added these electronics to my Sting Ray bass. I also installed a Bartolini pick up as a replacement. It has a fantastic sound. Exactly the sound I was going after.

Sounds great. I'd like to see alternative options of wiring. ie.... wiring for more than one pickup
