Does not deal tight enough to protect battery compartment. Didn’t last but a few months.

The presence of this camera alone has been enough to keep people from dumping their garbage. It’s lasted over a year and surprisingly the solar works or perhaps the batteries have lasted so far for the blinking red light. I ordered another. Great buy.

We have 13 live cameras and two of these. By far these are more menacing with their long-lasting pulsing red lights and larger size. We've had one break in (while we were home!) and one attempt we later repelled once installing these and other live cameras. Most realistic. Easy to install. VERY visible to intruders even at a distance. Highly recommended.

This looks realistic enough, I suppose. Especially from a distance. I have used rechargeable batteries and so far the blinking red light is still blinking continuously after almost a month. Only concern is how weather proof the battery compartment is. Time will tell. I also have a sign on the property warning that there is video surveillance. I think the combination of the two will be effective. For now I'm satisfied.

Bought this fake camera to put up at my property gate to denture people for trespassing. Solar powered (in conjunction with 2 AA rechargeable batteries, not included) , red light blinks property, was easy to install (I added an extra long cable for real effect) and it's been rained on numerous times and still going strong. I do wish it moved though. Other than that I'm very pleased and the value is spot on.

Looks like a real camera, most people using this ite, will be gone for extended periods so hope the two AA batteries last a year at least.

I am using these to provide "deterrence" in a somewhat rural area of Hawaii. I bought signs which state we have 24 hour camera surveillance and then have posted these in strategic places. I particularly like the little flashing red light. Someone may just assume the cameras are fake, but the little light will give many people pause to think. You can insert rechargeable AA batteries which will charge in daylight and allow the light to blink through the night. I removed the little black which I assume is meant to simulate a cable, but since nothing clearly goes from the camera to the house, that won't fool anyone. However, if placed properly everyone can see the solar cells. I bought small "rubber" antennae and attached the to the units. Today we have so many products which are WiFi and powered by solar batteries, this could really be a real camera. This won't stop the hardcore thieves, but it will give the amateurs something to think about, and maybe they'll move on to someone else.

looks real, I like the solar power since I am in an area of the USA that gets plenty of daily sun, I have not used any batteries yet however the solar power works throughout the day, not at night, maybe perhaps because the in its are protected by the roof eve so it doesn't get direct sunlight but the flashing red light works for the entire day and a little bit into the night. Good price for what you get. I also like the fake black tubing that looks like a wire, very realistic.
