Because you have to put some muscle into squeezing every tube joint together as tight as possible. It's the only way to get the cover to fit perfectly over it. The cover is perfectly sized to the correct assembly. I recommend using biceps to pull and squeeze the tubes together like a bow-and-arrow motion. Do not try to put the cover on before it's ready. It will rip and tear.

I love everything about this! Pardon the mess on it, but it did exactly what we needed it to do. I live in a very small apartment with only 1 closet. The closet was in my bedroom, so everything was being put in there. This helped to give me my closet back while also giving space for my fiance's work stuff and tools as well. My coats and sweaters (as well as his) have a space to be by the front door, and some space for guests to hang theirs as well! 10/10 recommend for those looking to clear up space!PS the Stok is stuff he is taking to his place lol

Quickly needed storage. It was cheap and surprised it still works so well. My fat cats love stepped on a shelf and it split instantly. Not strong shelves, but for light stuff good enough. Haven’t anchored it to the wall and still haven’t tipped. Would order again. Nice cheap option.(I washed the whole cover and shelves in the washer machine, didn’t ruin them)

This portable closet overall is pretty nice. Putting it together was very simple, by myself I was able to put it together in less than an hour.The main reason I purchased this is because I had another portable closet similar to this one but without the zip up cover. The problem with my old one is it could not support much weight and started leaning and I figured a zip-up cover would be nice to prevent dust and other things getting on my clothing. It seems to be getting the job done it's very sturdy and the zip-up cover seems to be working.The Price is Right, the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is simply it's not as aesthetically pleasing as I wish it was for my bedroom, if this was being used for storage or something else where you didn't have to look at it all the time it would probably be perfect. Not saying it's ugly enough where I can't stand it, but I wish the cover was a little bit more prettier!

It does not look like the picture at all it is a cheap loose fabric covering the entire thing, it is a pain to roll the fabric front pieces up nicely. The tubes are really hard to stick together all the way down so now that it is up and put together I requested I could at least send the cover back for a different cover hopefully it looks a little better but was told I needed to break down the old one and return the entire set and buy a new set. Most importantly it doesn’t look like the picture advertised and is now a eye sore in my house.
