For a musical application, I don't feel the bracket and that plain mounting plate are very refined. It works fine but I feel a bit let down.

I bought this so I could pull my flute out in the AM, put it together and be able to safely put it up so I can play whenever I want without having to assemble the flute 100 times a day. I hung it rather high on the wall, out of the reach of little hands. It works great, my flute is accessible all day and I get more practice in when I can get to it quickly! LOVE it!

I wish the rod was not pre-installed. It was extremely hard to secure/screw the mount because the rod obstructs access to the hold for screwdriver. If I ever need to remove this it will be a huge problem. That being said, the product itself is excellent. It’s a manufacturer flaw.

Sturdier than I thought it would be. The bottom screw was a little bit hard to get into the wall straight because the pole for the flute is in the way, but it works great. Don't install it too close to the ceiling either. I've have had no problems in the couple of months I've been using it.

I own maybe eight string swing products. All solid as a rock. This flute holder is no different. I'm teaching online and now I don't have to futz with cases for my flute, clarinet, and trumpet when I teach.Solid investment.TIP: if you are installing this 4 feet off the ground, you may have some drywall mud to get through, which is tougher than the drywall itself. Predrill your hole before you install your wall anchor.

The flute holder is simple, with an engineer's sensibility. Strong, with no superfluous parts.The installation instructions are minimal, but the flute holding peg is removable, so mounting the screws through the center of the rear plate is easy. The plastic cover pops off the hex head bolt; hold the plastic square peg with vice grips and turn the bolt with a wrench, mount the bracket, then replace the peg. We have the clarinet version as well. It also has a removable holder peg so mounting the bracket is always easy.The peg on the flute holder is bare plastic. I thought I would add a cloth cushion by using a piece of double-sided tape to hold a single layer of thin cotton cloth (old t-shirt scrap) on the peg--this did NOT work. The difference between the peg dimensions and the inner diameter of my flute (a Yamaha student model) did not allow any material to be inserted. This is good--the flute goes on easily, but the connection feels secure, the flute doesn't flop about.The brackets on these holders are so strong, I can hang a fairly heavy and extra-tall portable music stand in its bag from the bracket and it has no effect on the angle of the bracket and thus the position of the instrument stays steady. This was a great find! I like to leave my flute out but worry my cat might knock it over, or that it might topple on its own because my room is carpeted and my travel flute stand is a little wobbly on carpeting. I found this while browsing around looking for a more sturdy flute stand option I absolutely love this wall mounted stand as it has zero footprint and is conveniently accessible from my practice chair.To simplify the install, I used 3M Command 15 lb velcro picture hanging strips (which is more than enough for a flute). It is both sturdy and convenient as I put i on the lower half of the wall in the area I practice. I feel confident leaving my flute out now - for either a quick practice break or an extended period. I highly recommend this product!
