We love these. It's great to be able to upcycle each bottle of wine we drink to help us water our ever-growing garden.

I use to water plants when traveling. When used in the garden, one cracked but can still hold a bottle. Took one star for breaking( after about a month).

I love these - I travel a great deal and have extensive landscaping. When my son can't come over to water, I just place gorgeous wine bottles in these - they keep my plants hydrated with a funky European touch. They are a bit delicate, but that has mostly been my fault, not the product. I'll keep these on a repeat order and my gardens will remain lovely!

I live in an area where it gets HOT in the summer, upwards of 100 degrees July through late August. These help for my outdoor potted plants. They do not allow you to go without watering at all on those hot days, but sometimes I can skip a day without losing plants. They aren't very thick so you have to be careful putting larger wine bottles in them and also sticking them into the potting soil or they will break. Also you MUST soak them before using them for at least 4 hours or they won't let water through.

Great concept, and I started with Plant Nanny terra cotta “stakes” first. I used them with wine bottles. It worked so well, I wanted more, and I bought this brand because the price was significantly less. Unfortunately, this brand is not nearly as sturdy as the Plant Nanny. I broke several in the package over a short period of time, even being careful. They will work, but I can only give them 3 starts due to how easily they can break. As with all terra cotta, you have to handle with care, of course. I’m just going back to the Plant Nanny since they last so much longer.

I purchased these to use next year in the grow bags I'm planning for my vegetables but I couldn't wait to try them out! They work great in my pots and planters. They provide a very localized watering, which is to be expected with capillary action so I'll likely end up with 2 or 3 per 15 gallon grow bag. I've used them both in planters and in the ground. Understandably, they are a bit fragile being made from terra cotta. Be sure to push them into the ground before putting the bottle in. Don't force them into the ground by pushing on the bottle...they will break.

These have been a fantastic addition to my garden. They let me have a few days between watering while also getting to recycle. Be careful when putting these in the dirt because they're fragile and will break with too much pressure. That being said, they're still durable and worth getting! I only broke one and that's on me for pushing too hard into the dirt I didn't dig deep enough lol

I've used more expensive versions of these before that you have to twist into the ground and these are superior. The price is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING for all of what you get and the terra Cotta stakes work wonderfully.I've been using these for a few days now because I'm lazy on hot days and that's when my plants need water the most. They fulfill their purpose to satisfaction. I would suggest putting 2 in larger pots, like whiskey barrels for instance, because the amount of water you need will be a bit more, but for single plants you likely only need 1. I find I have to top off or refill every few days but prefer this over going through the hassle and maintenance a drip system would be. I would also suggest these for thirstier plants in your landscape, but I wouldn't rely on these solely. Also it's still important to do a nice deep watering semi regular to guarantee the best health for your plants, especially if you're growing fruit and veg. I also use these with my hydrangea and it helps keep them from wilting in the heat. These are sturdy and easiy pushed into wet soil, but do be careful when placing them and putting the bottles in them as you can break them if you are coming at it like a freight train.I'm buying another box because honestly I won't be going with any other Terra Cotta stakes after finding these gems. 😍
