I've used this on XPS foam (thick insulation foam and 5mm poster board) and have been pretty pleased with the results. The plastic is nice and sturdy and the corners on the mold are sharp and well defined. It creates a pattern that is just under 5" wide and keeps definition even after sealing, priming, and painting.I've got the Stone Wall Styles 1 and 2, and the Small Brick style. The Small Brick looks perfect and is a great scale for 32mm miniatures, usually the bricks I see look too large for that scale but these are a really good scale. The sculpted patterns for the two stone walls leave a little to be desired (they're slightly too irregular for my tastes), but I'm mostly using them for medieval ruins, so they fit the bill just fine.Make sure you're pressing REALLY hard on the foam (a dowel in the middle can help you apply even pressure). These work wonderfully on foam board if the paper has been removed. For insulation foam, the rollers didn't really want to make a good impression on the factory-cut edge (the shiny surface with the printing on it) but I use the finest grit sandpaper I can find the remove the sheen before rolling and it works much better. (Do this outside and don't breath the foam that gets sanded off)

If you like to make your own terrain for D&D (or train sets, or Warhammer, or anything like that), these texture rollers are a HUGE time saver. Need a castle wall? Modge Podge + Roller = done. Use it with green stuff, Modge Podge, or even just air dry clay and get cool scenery in moments.

Great for both foam and clay. Really good packaging, so I was surprised to see a couple edges were chipped, the broken off flecks were still in the box. Still very usable with no major damage. You will need a dowel to put in the center (which it is designed for) unless you want to tear up your hands rolling it.

Just what I needed for making streets and short walls on a Bethlehem diorama using hard foam and air dry clay.

This is a pretty good texture roller. I did notice there are few places on the ridges that are jagged and leave some room for improvement. However at this price point I would definitely recommend it great for making bases for miniatures and terrain. Overall some minor quality notes but other than that very useful roller.

This terrain texture roller is awesome! I make a lot of clay figures and occasionally they need an environment to stand in and these rollers make it so that I take a fraction of the time crafting them. The plastic is sturdy and the stamp turns out beautifully. I got the S412E Cobblestone version and as much as I love the look of it, it is hard to match up the edges if I need a wider piece. I’d imagine that it should be easier to align the more structured patterned rollers though. I am absolutely planning on getting even more of these rollers in different styles and textures. Any artist or hobbyist knows how handy it is to have all kinds of texture tools lying around and having these in particular will help speed up projects significantly without compromising quality.
