The rope arrived with the envelope open and for having cost 134 dollars to arrive in that condition is unacceptable because there is no certainty that this is the rope that I ordered!, or if it is a rope that has been open for a long time and runs the risk of breaking, Quite disappointed since as I mentioned it was a fairly expensive rope!

This is my second set of Larsen A&D, Spirocore Tungsten G&C strings I've owned, and they are excellent strings. However, this time around the A string snapped during installation, before reaching the requisite tension. I emailed Thomastik-Infeld about the issue, and they were completely unhelpful, directing me to the seller (who is them, according to Amazon) or Larsen strings (who won't help because I didn't purchase the string directly from them) So I have been forced to pony up an additional 50 dollars for a new A-string from a different seller. I've had good experiences with Thomastik-Infeld in the past, but I'm rather disgusted with them this time around. Packaging is also on the very edge of acceptable for strings at this price point, but other reviewers have mentioned that.

I like all A D G strings , they sound bright with very good response. But the C which is the most important for me is not bright…. I don’t like the quality of the C….

I highly recommend this string because this is what I used throughout college and what other cellist in the music school also used. It has a very nice bright sound and good tone. Though I ordered it once from this company and my G came okay but my C came dented. So I returned it and ordered it again! Hopefully the next C will be okay!

I'd heard for forever about tungsten spriocore C & G's but never wanted to pony up the money to get them until recently. After taking a few days to play them in, they live up to the hype. You may hate how brash they sound out of the package, but they mature quickly into a sound that is warm and deep while retaining the intensity of focus you will hear as soon as you put them on.Although I feel the pain of $200 for basically only half a set of strings, these are the best C & G strings. They are supposed to last a long time as a well, thankfully.

Have played cello for more than 20 years, but this is the first time I have tried this Tungsten string and the sound quality is remarkable and powerful. Warms up the more I play too. A joy to play.

Resonant, deep, rich, bright, focused - I realize some of these adjectives are mutually exclusive in strings, but somehow, they converged in this string!

For advanced cellists these may seem scratchy at first, but once they are broken in, you will never go back to Pirazzis or Larsens on the C or G string. They are more expensive, but WORTH it and last a longer time than most C or G strings.
