Really useful for getting those weird corners, angles, or round pieces perfectly traced. I was surprised at how simple this was to use, and how smoothly it operates. I can’t believe I didn’t have this as part of my tool kit before, and I am shaking my head at all the shady ways I’ve tried to get measurements for these odd angles before. I appreciate that it has a locking button to help hold the shape. For the price, this should be in every tool kit!

This tool works pretty well on figuring out the contour of things like wall/trim, when you need to cut materials to match up to those shapes. I did have to make some adjustments to how tight the screws were, because it did not slide smoothly when using it. It works a little better after adjustments, but I do have to push some of the individual bars to get them to fully match up to the contour of what I am working with. I think it is going to really come in handy with all of my household projects, but I do wish it worked as smoothly as I thought it would. Other than that, I am pleased with it.

I ordered this to help me lay down some peel and stick tile. I didn’t trust myself to free hand around the door frame and toilets. This gave me perfect lines around the door frame specifically and it was super easy for me to use! I’ve never installed peel and stick tile OR traditional tile and it looks like a professional did it! Completely worth it!

We had one of these a few years ago and it was a pain in the rear. This one slides nice and smooth, so you can fit it into those weird spaces easily. It holds enough that when you pull it away you don't immediately lose your measurement. It's a little longer than the one we had before as well, so you can do a bit more with it. I like that it comes with some extra teeth in case you have an accident with your gauge, and a little screwdriver to adjust the tension.

This works pretty well. simple and straight forward. The sliders are stiff which is good, that makes it easy to push into the contours but they don't move while you take a second the use the locking device.

We needed to redo a section of the floor and it was going to require several different shaped ends since there is a bar corner with variable positions. This made it easy to cut the correct profile on the ends of each plank. The individual bars move very smooth and fluid and gives a perfectly recreated outline to use as a template. No extra measuring needed. Just make sure it is straight, line it up and glide it against the profile you need.

This is a terrific profile matching tool! Some of the things I like about it are the smooth movement of the teeth, it's made of a solid, strong plastic that will not bend or deform, replacement teeth are provided should any break, and it's a lot longer than the old, metal one I used to use. I can't wait to try it out.

Another good tool for the tool box. This tool will come in handy for so many things. We have a drop ceiling project nearing and this will come in handy. It’s a good quality tool for the price, which is right in the middle for cost. Not the cheapest but also not the most expensive. Plus it comes with a tape measure and screw driver to use with the tool. We’re all set now bring on the projects.
