I will start off by saying that the shipping was super fast. This was my very first pair ever of riding breeches, so I had really no idea what to look for or expect. I decided not to go expensive since I just started riding and wanted to learn the ropes first. I read the reviews and looked at the size chart and opted to size down based on what I had read. I bought a size 38, but I really should have gotten a 36 or even 34. The pants went on super easy, without even stretching and are super comfy but I'm worried that after half an hour of wearing them that they may start to fall down. I'm 5'7 and wear a size 14 to 16 in jeans, with pretty normal proportions of thighs, waist, and butt.

I am giving it four stars only because I have not tried them out in the saddle yet, but I received them, and I am quite impressed. I am 5' 4", and weight about 190 lb, a large portion of which is carried in my muscular legs, thighs, and big butt. I look significantly lighter than I actually am (people tell me I carry my weight well), probably by roughly 30 lb. When I started shopping for breeches, I was very nervous about finding something that would fit without being tight and uncomfortable, and without costing me a fortune, since I am a college student (I am joining the equestrian team). After I researched for a bit, I decided these were my best option. I received them yesterday and tried them on last night, and they are proportioned perfectly to my body shape. I bought the size 38, and I am guessing by the material and the way the waist comes up a little past my belly button that I could have been okay with a 36, but when I put a t-shirt or show shirt on over them, they don't look too bad. The belt loops are too narrow for the belts I have, so I will need a narrower belt, but in the meantime, I think they will fit fine without one, and they are comfortable. I am thinking about buying a second pair when I get my next paycheck; the material appears to be as sturdy as it is comfortable.

These are reasonably priced pull on riding pants. I first ordered them in 42 but they were too large in the waist and a little baggy in the upper thighs. I returned them for size 40, kind of thinking they would be too small but they fit perfectly in the hips and thighs and are still a little loose in the waist. I wear them with a belt. They are super comfortable for when I don't feel like wearing jeans to ride. I typically wear size 16 in pants.

I'm only giving it 4 stars because they are so oversized. I normally wear a size 14-16, 37-38" waist (where I carry my extra weight). I bought the 38's, even though I read the reviews stating these are pretty stretchy and run big. I should have listened. I honestly think I should have bought the 34's. The waist seems to come straight up from the hips, no taper into the waist. Thankfully, my daughter is a very good seamstress and is going to take the waist in 3" (at least) for me. I am keeping these but I definitely have to wear a belt with them right now. They are very comfortable, go to my ankles and fit very nicely inside my boots. I rode in 40 degree weather and they were warm enough. I haven't noticed any seam separation in the backside like someone else commented. They appear to be well stitched in that area.

They're functional. I ordered a size 42. I'm extremely curvy, with most of my weight carried in my backside, hips and thighs (5'6" or 167 cm, 260 pounds or 118 kilos), and these were saggy in the rear end, knees and calves. I have plenty of rear to fill out just about anything (while I'm quite well padded, I'm also carrying quite a bit of muscle), so they definitely shouldn't have been saggy, had they been sized correctly. The proportions are just a bit odd, but all in all, they're ok, especially for the price. The fabric is thick and well made, they don't roll at the waist, and they're warm. I wore them in several sub zero days comfortably. They wash well.

I'm very pleasantly surprised by these breeches for the price. I generally wear a size 20ish, but ordered a size 42 due to my, ahem, spacious hiney. Even though it says the hips only fit up to a 45", they comfortably and easily fit around my 52" hips. They are long enough, which is a pleasant surprise due to my 32" inseam. But the best part, at least for me, is that they actually are high enough around the waist so that when I am riding, I still have full bum coverage. Even without a belt they didn't slide down or require hitching up at any point. They stayed put throughout my entire grooming and riding session. How nice to not have to worry about plumber's butt whilst in two point! Anyway, I'd definitely recommend these breeches. I've only worn them a couple times so can't speak to their durability, but at this price, they're tough to beat.

I was pleasantly surprised with these pants. I followed the size guide and got pants that were way too big, exchanged them for two sizes smaller and got a perfect fit! I'm 5'7" just over 200lbs wear I size 16 in pants at old navy 18 at the gap and the size 38 in these pants is great. A little snug but in a good way. I'm really impressed with the quality of the pants. They seem like they are much more expensive. Highly recommend!

This is my first time buying riding breeches, I always just wore jeans. I am 5'5 and wear an 18 or 20 in jeans. I ordered a 42. They fit perfectly, a tiny bit loose like I prefer. The fabric is very thick and sturdy with a wide elastic waistband. The fabric is actually a 92% cotton and 8% lycra spandex blend. I thought there would be a stirrup under the arch of the foot like 80's stirrup pants, or a velcro strap. Instead the pants cover the ankle and there is a built in heel. The belt loops are nice if you want to wear a belt.
