Mine came stung as a regular Ukelele. It is supposed to be a baritone. the extra strings are for a baritone. The product page says they are D' Addario strings yet they come not in a package. I think they are Chinese knock offs. I had to restring to actually have a baritone and once I did it sound very nice. I did later buy actual D' Addario baritone strings (they look totally different) and the sound went from good to amazing. It appears to be well made and has great reasonance. The Gig bag is surprisingly good and even has some padding. It is a much better gig bag than the one I recieved with my Yamaha Guitalele. Overall it is a great value, but be prepared to restring in order to achieve the full sound.

I got this as a gift for my sister who wants to learn ukulele for Christmas. It has a great warm sound and I would definitely recommend this set for anyone wanting to learn. The tuners are very smooth, making it easy to tune. The case has a pretty thick padding, and the capo is great! I will say that the strap was really hard to get on tho but it is a good quality one. The ukulele is more red than shown in photos. Sounds great functions amazingly overall 10/10

Myself and many of my closest musical friends all gave this Ukulele a lot of play since receiving it. They have more experience with one than I do.Overall, I was very pleased with this instrument. The packaging was fantastic, the accessories were a major bonus, and the quality as spot on for what I wanted in my first Ukulele. It took a couple days of playing and tuning before it really began to hold tuning long term, likely due to it being new and having new strings. The tone is absolutely fantastic plays well all the way down the neck. One of my friends owns a few Ukuleles and was able to compare it decently. This isn't a contender for some of the higher tier/price models out there, but it impressed him for the price point. The accessories were great for a new instrument. An extra set of strings is always great to have on hand so those were nice to receive. It came with a capo which will work for many different instruments, big bonus. The case is probably my favorite thing, I like the color, extra pocket, and carry straps. The strap isn't my style, but at least I'm not tempted to go buy one now. It also came with a few picks.I'm used to playing larger heavier instruments, this is my only issue with the Ukulele, I would like if it has some more heft to it. It's not thin and flimsy at all, but I constantly feel like I'm going to break it.Overall, I'd recommend to most anyone.

I bought this as an adjunct to the soprano I got for my young daughter. I thought it would be easier to show her stuff if I was holding one also. Tenor means a longer neck and scale length which means no cramming fingers, but it's a real mystery to me as to why they call it a Tenor when it is tuned to the exact same pitch as the Soprano. In all other instrument series there is a big difference in the sonic range between Soprano, Alto , Tenor and Baritone. Someone said , in my research, that it's a historical artifact in that Tenors used to be tuned lower. A minor problem arises when you tune these strings the same pitch as a soprano in that the "action" ie strings are stiffer and for the beginner , they may experience sore fingers for the first 30 hours or so of playing. If you are buying for a kid with small hands, the soprano is probably a better choice for that issue. The instrument is remarkably well made for the price. The bridge is flat and secure to the body. The neck was straight and I only had string buzz above the 7th fret on the A string. It was barely noticeable and I don't think anyone is heading to Carnegie anytime soon with one of these. The intonation is also impressive for a tiny instrument. It's just a very convenient, sufficiently rugged and decent quality musical instrument that I hope is within everyone's budget.

The Horse ukulele is a nicely finished "concert' sized uke. Same tuning and chords, but a little bigger than the original "soprano" ukes and a little smaller than a tenor. Of course, at $49 including a gig bag, extra set of strings, capo, picks, and a strap, the body is laminated, but it is beautifully finished with numerous extra touches like a compensated saddle, sealed gear tuners, strap buttons, and a little "Horse" head inlaid at the octave, and is one of the loudest concert ukes I've played. There are a few oddities, like strap buttons and a strap which I've never seen on a uke, or the included picks which again are not used on ukuleles, not to mention the capo, something as well never used on ukes. Still, this in no way detracts from the ukulele itself which is both an excellent sounding instrument and a genuine bargain. I'll personally never use the strap, picks, or capo with the uke, but I will use them with a guitar. As to playability, my Horse ukulele came ready to play. Fretwork was clean, action low. What more could you want in a starter ukulele package?
