This item appears to be solidly welded. Time will tell of course but I do not foresee it falling apart. However, the socket into which the handle goes measures 1-3/8 inches in diameter while standard Schedule 40 and 80 pipe that is easily obtained from the local big box store measures 1-5/16 inches in diameter thereby making for a very sloppy fit. You can’t get pipe having an exact 1-3/8 outside diameter. “Top rail” chain link fence parts that claim to be 1-3/8 are in fact 1-5/16 too and are substantially thinner walled than black pipe, so they would be poor secondary choices for handle material. Lastly, to mail order steel or aluminum thin wall tube having the exact diameter costs way more than the tool itself. Grrr…. As I found the sloppiness to be unacceptable, I cut up an empty food can and made a shim to go all the way around the pipe inside the socket. It reduced the slop to an acceptable minimum. I took away one star for having to undergo this annoyance. Seriously, they could have made the socket 1/16 inch smaller for their customers’ benefit.Anyway, I pulled apart two pallets as a quick test. They came apart easily. Once you get the handle on (mine is 5’ long) this is a nice tool.

This tool is very strong and durable. My husband loves it for taking pallets apart. It works great and saves time and energy for the task.

It’s a good design but I could tell it wasn’t welded correctly at base of handle when I unwrapped it but figured I’d weld it back when it broke! First pull worked flawlessly so that’s why I didn’t give it all one stars, second pull It snapped. I’ll weld it up and have a go at it again. Just wanted to post incase you are without a welder to repair it. Good product for the price.*update* they have offered to replace or refund within an hour of notification so that’s very nice.

Works wonderfully! Ordered the yellow one fist, it broke the first time I used it. Reordered the black one, made of steel instead of alloy. It's tuff as nails. I highly recommend this. It's quick and easy!

Works well. It's well built, but the distance between the flat bars could be another 1/2 to 3/4 inch wide. It doesn't quite fit some of the wider pallet boards

I loved the fast delivery ordered Sunday night was here at 4:30 Monday morning. Used it to break down pallets did 5 in about 30 minutes . The following week I used a sawzall took all day and about 30 dollars in blades to do only 8 pallets and on Saturday my teeth were still vibrating. This tool is awesome love it just put a handle on actually used my handle off my big floor jack around 42” long works perfect. So much quieter. Highly recommend for any diy I also found out pallets that are a little damp or yet break apart with ease but dry pallets take a little more muscle.

I love my pallet buster! If you reclaim pallets this is a huge time saver and so easy to use. I don’t think I would be still reclaiming pallets if I didn’t have it.

We get many long nonstandard pallets. This is great to break them down and recover the 2x4s. Buy a decent iron pipe at your home center, drill through for the shackle, and you are in business.I did not see any issues with the welds. I had no problem fitting it with a pip2.
