I attempted to use this on an upstairs computer that has difficulty receiving a wi-fi signal. This item provided only marginal improvement, but the lack of reception could be be caused by the thickness of the walls in my house, so it's difficult to say whether this wi-fi extender is effective or not.

Trying to use this in a dead spot for my Dell PC at work. Couldn't get to recognize the adapter, and one of the antenna broke off when we were trying to place it in a different spot. Going to try again in a home unit, but the antenna looks like it has a pc board in the base so may not work at all.

I plugged it in and there was no drivers to install or it just works automatically. I know for me, i have to go find the drivers to even see if it works.
