Antenna was exactly as described. No problem at all with it. However the radio was junk. So I pulled it all out.

SYNC2->SYNC3 conversion is largely issue-free for most setups. When used as an internal (under dash) GPS, this will give you a navigation error, like other low-cost antennae.This is for use exterior only.

I wanted a small inexpensive solution to the poor GPS reception on my marine VHF radio. It has an internal GPS antenna that works with the MMSI system, but reception was very poor. This item solved that issue and at a very cheap price.Quality is very good and sturdy with complete waterproof covering suitable for a marine environment. The item description indicated that it had a coaxial connector compatible with standard GPS antennas. This was correct and the setup was very simple. Just know that the coaxial cable for this application is smaller than the standard TV style coaxial cables.

Maybe I got a bad one bu can get a signal with it. I tried a different one and my GPS is fine.
