The fit is fine , haven’t been stung through it, but the netting is to loose makes it hard to see what you are looking at.

I returned because the hat and veil were too big. This caused the veil to be wrinkly and I was not going to be able to see adequately. I am an average sized woman, so maybe this would fit some men better.

This product is very well made. There’s a small flaw where the zippers meet in front. A bee sized flaw. When inspecting more aggressive hives, the hole where the zippers meet needs a piece of duct tape to cover the hole. Otherwise bees get inside. And when you have a bunch of angry bees buzzing around your head, you can’t open the veil to remove the stinger quickly, unless you want more stings. My previous veil had overlapping zippers. I wish this one did.Update: I realized that I can pull the Velcro piece over farther after zipping the zippers, which closes the gap without needing duct tape. Bees can’t enter any holes now. I’m upgrading my review to 5 stars because I have gotten no stings since discovering this.

The Material of this jacket is not what I expected. most bee jackets are a thick cotton or denim type material, this Jacket is something a little different. it is thick but airy and without being heavy if that makes any sense. I don't think a bee sting could ever get through the material of this Jacket unlike other I have worn. The hat has a nice rim that is far enough away from your face so don't have to worry and the 360 view is nice. you have to be gentle with this type hat when washing but so far, very nice. the zipper works just fine and the quality is good. I have not used it in the summer yet but it feels pretty airy and because it is not a full suit, I don't think I will sweat quite as much wearing it and I won't feel the need to wear layers underneath it.I am 5' 9 ish and a stocky 260 pounds and the xxl fits me well but I would imagine the XL would have been sufficient. when it comes to bee Jackets, a little too big is always better. Finally, the price point was very reasonable for this jacket. I would buy it again.

This jacket is very comfy and flexible. I;m 5'8" and 165lbs and M fits perfectly, a little loose around the mid section and fluffy sleeves, not too tight. The round veil is great for visibility, although it looks like a space suit, i don't really care. I tried the hooded suits and they were really hard to see through, drove me nuts. The suit breathes ok in summer, but it's still warm. It's inevitable that you're going to get sweaty in any suit in summer heat. A slight breeze is all it takes to stay cool enough. I wouldn't spend all day in one though. It's great for hive inspections and the zippers are very tough brass, not those cheap aluminum crappy ones that break all the time. For the price this is a great jacket.

I know a lot of beeks don’t wear any extra gear. But I also 1 who developed allergic reactions to stings, so I wasn’t going to risk it. (Whether or not that would disqualify them as competent beekeepers is another topic, I know.) However, I’m new, and one of my hives is much more aggressive than the other, and I ain’t risking it.I needed something breathable, preferably where the wind could blow through. I wanted 360 degree view, and a zipping veil. This jacket does all that. Still hot in the summer, but it helps alot. Combine it with a good set of gloves, and havent had another sting. Very happy.

I would order one size smaller. This runs a bit large. I ordered the large, but wish I had ordered the medium. I did contact the seller and they were quick to reply. I am keeping this one to see how it works this season. All the photos showed the jacket as being a little long- well past the hips. I love the thumb loops for the sleeves. it is very breathable and that will work very well during the summer!** UPDATE!So glad I have the large now. I've used it in the field several times with my bees, and I have the room I need to move around them. The jacket does ride up in the back a bit, but overall, I have not had a bee slip between the pants and jacket. The hood is still a bit big on me- slides forward, pulling my hair into my eyes a bit, but if I am not out there too long, it isn't an issue.

I live in the tropics so you k ow my main reason for buying was the heat as I read this was breathable. IT IS. And no bee has managed to get I to my suit so far since I've been using it. 7 months now. It so comfortable and very easy to wash and with baking soda its bright and white again. All the tabs and zips maybe a little complex to take apart and reassemble. But still easy to figure out. Its these that save you from the invasion. Of the suit from bees. Other more simple to assemble suits have little sections where the bees can come in. I have yet to have a bee invade. Something I struggled with my other suits. Very excellent buy. Value for money. I bought size M I'm 5-4 130lbs. My husband is 5-8 170lbs. L
