They are a little beefier and, accordingly, a little louder. The 'Sweep" is a little heavier bristles than VF Jazz brushes...and the 'Ride' is substantially heavier. Rubberized metal handles, and on the heavier side. Not cheap feeling. Solid.

I bought things for my brother-in-law, who is a drummer. He loves them. Great quality, perfect weight and sound. These are high speed and functional. They will last a long time. He is very happy.

I've been playing them for weeks thinking that I was getting inconsistent results from them until I realized that the two brushes are different from each other! One has slightly thicker gauge wires and its why the feedback on cymbals feels so different, also the two different gauge brushes make a higher and lower pitch when sweeping on a coated drum head and it sounds great hearing them sweep together.

I've heard that most "manufacturers" outsource their brushes to the same small number of actual manufacturers, aka companies that actually make things and don't just have their name printed on them. I'm not sure what VF does in this regard but their brushes are the only ones I've used in the last decade that can survive even a few weeks of light use. All the other major brands are shoddy garbage on their brushes: Vater, ProMark etc all start falling apart almost immediately when using. These haven't. Three years in and not even a bent wire. Good Job Zildjian.

Robuste et équilibré mais n'a plus la qualité d'antan (brins en acier nickelé inoxydables)malheureusement les brins sont en acier bon marché chinois probablement se salisse et s'oxyde vite acheter neuf en 2017 à un prix hyper compétitif que je n'affiche pas, par pudeur.. Mais là franchement le tarif à plus de cinquante euros est exorbitant! Alors je comprends que la "crise" est encore présente mais faut quand même pas charrier Amazon d'accord!😄

If you like or need the rebound and volume give these stiff brushes a try. Even consider two sets for more options. Or consider the Live Wire brushes also stiff, with increased volume and rebound.

I don't use them alot. But they feel comfortable and seem like they are built decently.seems to be a good value.especially if they are all you can use in bedroom/small space.you will get even more value out of them.they are very quiet.like designed i suppose.

Pretty rad sticks. One side Ride one side Sweep. I have used these for 6 gigs now and they are not just starting to soften up a bit. Big sound difference as I was used to smaller brushes that were wearing down after the past year of playing every Friday and Sat nights. Well made handles, nice firm wires and I look forward to hearing what they can produce when broken in a bit more. Very happy with purchase.

I had watched the manufacturers video about the product and love the concept and design.But, because I had previously ordered 'retractable' brushes that were not fully retractable, I asked the question, here.The answer I received was that 'yes' they are fully retractable, with some extra effort.Well, now I have received the product and I cannot force them to retract fully: 1/4" of brush always remains sticking out, which could snag your pocket, for example [which was my concern].Oh well. FYI.The manufacturer had no info, which was why I asked about the detail here on amazon and got an ad hoc reply from another customer which doesn't seem accurate. I don't know who to blame but am happy enough in any case.
