Picked a pair of these scoops up to use with 5 gallon Home Depot buckets filled with Calcium Chloride, the gray chunky version. These scoops are more heavy duty than I thought they'd be, perfect for my use. They're slightly smaller than I though but that's actually a good thing here. I was using empty metal coffee cans to toss around the salt but I'd end up tossing too much at times, wasting it. With these scoops, you have more control and waste less.An aside, I keep a bucket near the front door and another in the back of my SUV, each with its own scoop. VERY handy, the one in the SUV as it makes getting stuck on ice a lot less possible.

Scoop is being used for winter salt. Size is perfect so not to be super heavy with salt. Not too large to fit in a normal size bucket. Strong plastic and is a great value. Easy to clean, just run under water and dry. Many colors to choose from.

This item was a great purchase. It can be used for almost anything. I bought this specifically to keep in a 5 gallon bucket with snow/ice melt for walkways and driveway. I actually went back and purchased a couple additional scoops to store buckets at each entry door during the winter months

We got this for our popcorn machine and when it arrived we were surprised how nice it is for the price. I expected a Dollar General type product.... but NO..... it's thick and strong. I think it would work great in our ice maker. It doesn't twist or bend. I will buy another.

I bought this to make it easier to salt my walkway and sidewalk during the winter. It's SO sturdy, made of thick solid plastic. It's held up brilliantly through one winter with no sign of cracking or weakening. So glad I bought this and would buy it again.

Though I wouldn't use it for chipping frozen clumps, it is solid enough that I was able to use it to chip apart frozen clumps of ice melter (Yes, I'm aware of the irony in frozen ice melter, but I am in Canada after all) and it felt solid and didn't show any sign of weakness that might break.

I was using a cheap plastic measuring cup for scooping & sifting fresh litter into the cat-box and after the handle broke I wanted a sturdier replacement. This is perfect for dipping into the big tub of litter and then being able to spread over the whole box area. Would also work great for scooping kibble for cats or dogs. Study, thick handle - no fear it'll ever break. Bought one & done.
