I bought this to make a flexible camo stencil for rattle-canning a rifle, and it's pretty solid at the task. Easy to cut shapes out of with nice smooth edges, just sticky enough to hold to a surface while you spray paint it but not so sticky that it'll be a pain to remove or pull paint up, and flexible enough for working on oddly shaped surfaces. Pretty big roll for only ~$10.

Saved a lot of time and work with being able to make the stencil with the cricket machine so I'm really glad I was able to make my own stencil with this product works great and the etching cream does not go through so clean design.

I bought this to make some small stencils for signs with. My cricut cut it great on the stencil material setting. Had no issues with having to do a second cut. It weeds pretty easy and the adhesion is sticky, but not so sticky that it peels paint. Will buy again.

Used this to make wall stencils on my cricut and worked out well. Tacky but not too strong of a hold. Will peel paint off of a wall if left on for too long though

I used this material with my cameo silhouette and it worked really well. Once I figured out the cutting settings, the material cut great! It’s very sturdy, and I loved how the stencil came out that I cut (a little cow). But my only complaint would be that it does not stick on wood. I tried multiple times, I even tried a piece I hadn’t been manhandling to make sure I wasn’t the reason it wouldn’t stick. But even the piece I took off the roll didn’t stick enough to actually use it. The material sticks down well enough to be placed but not enough to actually use it. So if you’re thinking of using this stencil material for anything other than a wood background I recommend it for you. Again I love the material, love the thickness of it but I couldn’t use it for my intended purpose. I will update as soon as I use this material on anything other than wood.

After reading the recommendations of others who use masking films on their CNC routers, I purchased this as an alternative to some of the more expensive materials. Unfortunately, after applying it over a clean and freshly painted wood surface, I immediately suspected it would not work as it did not appear to adhere well to the painted surface. I used multiple methods to apply pressure to the material to help it bond with little change. I made my cuts and my suspicions were confirmed with loose edges and tears. I could clean up the edges with a razor blade and adequately prepare it for paint. I normally apply multiple light coats however the edges immediately began to pull up and curl when the paint made contact with it. I thought the entire purpose of a stencil was to be painted over, but this product does not do well for that. In a vinyl cutter and applied to metal or some other very smooth or non-porous surface this may work, but I do not suggest it on wood or for use with any type of machine cutting such as a CNC router. I will place another order for the more expensive materials and see if they work better.Update: I updated my rating for this product as I wanted to stress I used this in a fashion not intended by the manufacturer and shouldn't fault them for that. However, I only gave it three stars as it did curl when paint was applied to it as others have also noted. I suspect this is due to the type of paint but don't know that to be a fact. I must also recognize the company was quick to reach out to me and discuss my challenges with the material and if they could assist in any way but they did not ask or pressure me to change this.

If I could give zero stars I would! I have done a lot of stenciling and this is by far the worst vinyl stencil I have used. I don’t even think it’s vinyl actually. It’s like a thick plastic almost and it was so annoying to weed that I almost gave up and wish I would have. After I finally got my design all weeded and on the transfer paper it wouldn’t come off the transfer paper! It’s not actually sticky enough to hold onto any surface so you can remove the transfer paper! I will never ever ever ever buy this again! Don’t waste your money like I did!

SKIP USING ANY SORT OF STENCIL SETTING! Been there done that do not recommend you’ll just waste your vinyl … as per another reviewers recommendation USE PREMIUM VINYL SHIMMER setting with MORE PRESSURE!!! I purposely used a very thin font with this setting and in my photos you can see it weeded them out perfectly now by all means i did have to still use to concentration because this material is very low tack but I did not lose a single piece of my very tiny words and for that I give this product 4 stars just because it’s almost too low tack. Even though I wasted some vinyl due to trial and error I’m pleased now that I found the correct setting to use !
