I did find this product to be a little oily. So I tended not to use very much so that I wouldn’t have to wash the dog again. It may have helped somewhat, but I still had a lot of brushing to do to get out extra fur and mats . He has a double coat and twice a year has an awful lot of shedding.It was just OK.

Stay away! This stinks like cheap perfume and will reek for days--headache inducing, yuck. Worse--it gunked up our border collie's fur so badly we had to rewash her all over again just to get it out and she still stunk of it. It had a texture like greasy thin glue--no detangling whatsoever--it just made the situation way worse! Absolutely cannot understand how this made it to market.

The detangler works and helped detangle the knots in my husky/golden retriever mix. This girl has the crystal blue eye and high prey of a husky, but is cursed with the longer fine coat of a golden retriever. That goldie coat gets matted much too quickly especially behind her floppy ears. With the detangler, I was able to work out some of the mats without having to just snip them off. The solution was a bit greasy so I followed up with a rinse free foaming shampoo. Worked out great.

Typically, my dogs are not fond of detanglers because they get scared when I spray them. Even if I only spray the brush, they still usually object. However, with this particular detangler, they seemed comfortable while I was using it. My oldest dog even kept sniffing the brush, which suggests she likes the scent. I can't blame her; it smells really good! Additionally, the detangler worked effectively to brush through any tangles in their coats. This is a product I will continue to use and reorder when needed.

A 6.76 fl.oz. of wagging tails silky fur detangler that didn't do much for my pomeranian fur. I used this on my 3 yr.olds coat of hair after his bath. I had to wait until his coat was dry to comb out his knots and tangles which is what I normally have to do anyway so I could not use it on the wet hair. I did attempt to spray his coat after drying but I couldn't see any difference in his hair. It was not any more silky or softer than it was before using this product. So it does not work for my dog.

If you have a furry animal that has a hair clotting issue, this is for your cat or dog. My cat is a very furry one. Her fur gets tangled a lot. She doesn't like it and tries to bite the clump off.I saw the can of Silky Wagging Tails Furr Detangler. She was on the bed and I sat down with her, holding the spray in one hand, petting her with the other and one spray and she was off the bed giving me dirty looks. That evening I was happily surprised. The clump was half the size and not hanging down. I waited a couple of days and did it again, and the clot is gone. I have no idea where that wad of hair is. But I am delighted it is gone. She is actually eating better and using her sand box more. Clots are really hard on an animal, so this is great.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t expect much from this de-tangler, but I was impressed after using it on my dog. The fur on my dog got really tangled up and this is doing the trick. I tried it on a small area and after brushing it for a bit, the fur did start to loosen up. The spray smells really good too. My only complain is that the spray does leave an oily feel on the fur after applying, but it did go away after a bit of time.

Our long haired mini weiner dog gets the worst tangles. Even with dog grooming combs it's a mess. It doesn't matter how often we brush him it just seems like he's so prone to tangles. We normally opt to just cut out the tangles with our shears for those that get bad enough. This spray has been so nice for getting that bigger ones gone with minimal effort and way less time than we were used too. Our little guy also appreciates the fact grooming and brushing takes less time with the help of this.
