I recently purchased the Watris Veiyi Dog Microchip Reader for my pet rescue organization, and it has been a game-changer. The OLED display screen is clear and easy to read, even in low light conditions, making it perfect for use in various environments. It's compatible with FDX-B (ISO11784/11785) and EMID microchips, which covers the majority of pets we encounter. The scanner is compact, easy to handle, and the battery life has been impressive. It's simplified our animal management process, ensuring quick and accurate identification of pets.

This is a super handy device to have around if you are an animal lover and/or meet a lot of strays as I am/do. It’s lightweight and easy to travel with so I keep it in my backpack almost all the time. The battery life is good and it’s simple/straightforward to use as well. I really appreciate that it’s rechargeable and uses a fairly standard connector. One critique is that it makes some beeping noises, which seem to indicate statuses - searching for microchip, found chip, no chip found, etc. This is useful to the user but the beeping seems to make some animals nervous so it can be tough to get a read as they want to move away from the beeping. Other than that, I wouldn’t mind if the number stayed on the screen just a bit longer but I tend to just snap a photo with my phone so I don’t have to rush to write it down and risk a mistake.

Quick to read a chip, work at the click of a button and locates chip within seconds. Small enough to fit in my pocket but mighty. No issues and been using 87 cat chip scans so far.

Great scanner & fabulous price! I originally tried to purchase a scanner a couple years ago and the prices were over $200. I wanted it to scan strays in my neighborhood but that price was just too much. When I found this one, I was super excited to try it and it did not disappoint! Very easy to use with just the click of a button. When you hold it near the animal, it scans immediately. I’d say you need to be within about 4” or so for it to pick up, which is helpful because not all strays will actually let you touch them. I tested it on all my own pets first and it scanned each chip accurately and quickly. Awesome addition to help with my neighborhood rescue hobby.
