We had been struggling with I Phone charging cords wearing out way too quickly. Our earlier attempts at repairing them was haphazard with predictable poor results. This set comes with enough protectors in numerous sizes to last us a long time. The heat gun is just the right size and very easy to use plus it’s much safer than using a flame to shrink the protectors. Great tool at a good price.

Some of my cable connections are a little old and starting to pull apart. This is one option to extend the life of your charging cable plug ends. If that makes any sense.

This kit is just fine. The included heat gun is fine. It is slower than pulling out a lighter, but in my opinion you end up with much more even shrinkage without leaving burn marks.
