My 1965 Precision is still original but the electronics aged out so my guitar tech replaced them with this kit. He's a perfectionist and if this kit wasn't up to snuff he'd have rejected it. I'm a player and all I can tell you is that the 50 year old P bass sounds exactly the same as it did with its original electronics inside. I'm keeping the old electronics for posterity, but a player's gotta play!
