Xbox 360 sets a new pace for digital entertainment. More than just a cutting-edge game system, Xbox 360 also integrates high-definition video, DVD movie playback, digital music, photos, and online connectivity into one sleek, small tower, and in the process puts true Next-Gen power right at your fingertips.
Note: This is a refurbished Xbox 360 Pro console. Xbox 360, shown with wireless controller, is a sleek, customizable gaming and entertainment system

Under the Hood
Xbox 360 is much smaller than its predecessor--it measures approximately 3.3 by 12.2 by 10.2 inches and weighs 7.7 lbs. It's powered by custom IBM PowerPC-based CPU with three symmetrical cores each running at 3.2 GHz. It also carries a custom ATI graphics processor loaded with 10 MB of embedded DRAM, 48-way parallel floating-point dynamically scheduled shader pipelines and Unified shader architecture. This is powerful enough to draw 500 million triangles per second. In other words, it makes for great looking games in standard TV definition, and even better thanks to built-in support for HDTV 1080i televisions. It also supports the widescreen 16:9 format.

The unit has a 12x dual-layer DVD-ROM drive, which plays both the game media and progressive-scan DVD movies right out of the box. For game-save and media storage, users can choose between the detachable and upgradeable 20GB hard drive, or a separately sold 64MB flash Memory Unit. Along with storing files, the hard drive will make the Xbox 360 backward-compatible with part of the existing Xbox game library.

Control your Gameplay
Xbox 360 uses a refined button layout for its controllers. Back and Start buttons sit at the center of the controller and between them is a new Xbox Guide button, which instantly takes the user to the Xbox 360 user interface. From there, they can check for friends online, access personal digital content like photos and songs, and more. The black and white buttons of the first Xbox controllers have been replaced with new shoulder buttons placed above the left and right triggers. Xbox 360 can accommodate up to four wireless controllers and has three USB 2.0 slots to use for wired controllers or for streaming your digital media from digital cameras, MP3 players, and any Windows XP-based PC. Microsoft has also created a video-conferencing camera, sold separately, that will work with the system.

Xbox 360 can manage your games, your online friends, and your personal digital library

The Media Experience
All Xbox 360 titles can be played in either standard or high-definition resolution in 16:9 widescreen, with anti-aliasing for smoother graphics. Game designers will be able to take advantage of the system's multi-channel surround sound. The Xbox 360's digital media allows users to supplement any game's music from tracks in their own personal library.

Go Live
A built-in Ethernet port allows users to connect their system to a broadband connection for access to Xbox Live. The Xbox Live Silver Membership included with the console lets anyone create a Gamertag and gamer card to express your online identity, chat live with voice chat, and connect to the Xbox Live Marketplace to buy expansions, maps, and other digital items for your games. You can also update to a Xbox Live Gold Membership at anytime for even more benefits. The separately sold wireless adapter supports the common 802.11a, -b, and -g standards.

not only did i get informed by the add that it came with a 20GB hard drive, but that it came also with a wireless controler. when i recived it there was no hard drive, no controler, it also stated it was like new, refurbished and in great condition and worked great. it is broken the front piece little flap that lets you put mini usb's and so on in it, broken off completly and shoved down inside stuck in there and it does not work at all actually, nothing past the 360 logo when turned on will work, i spent money on an item i was told i would get that was in great condition, and worked great, neither of which are a factor. i am beyond upset, and even more disappointed. i will go somewhere else before ever going here again. because i wont get my money back, i wont get what i paid for, and to wait another 8 to 12 days, not really in the mood for

I'd like to state that I bought this refurbished console DIRECTLY FROM AMAMZON, NOT ANOTHER SELLER, and by looking through the reviews I'd suggest against buying from other sellers since you're not likely to get exactly what the product page says (such as second controller, HDD, ect.) and it's a higher possibility to get the RRoD since they could be selling the older consoles. Now on to my review. Upon receiving the console I noticed it came in a special box that looks like a Xbox 360 Pro with the words "Go Pro" on the box, but what was different was that it said "Refurbished" in three different languages on the top and on the side of the box it said it's refurbished to original specifications and may contain small cosmetic imperfections. The box also contained two stickers, one saying that it contained two wireless controllers and another stating that the console tray color may be white or chrome. So, the refurbished console is actually a console that was refurbished by Microsoft themselves, not anyone else, so you know that it'll have the one year warranty like with any new console. When I opened the box it came with all the instruction manuals, two wireless controllers, the console with the 20 GB HDD attached and "refurbished" sticker, wired headset, hybrid video cable with both component (R/G/B) and composite (Yellow) video cables, Ethernet cable and the vented power brick with the power cable. Also the console that I received was actually a Xbox 360 Arcade (with a white disc tray) with a 20 GB HDD, but that doesn't really matter as it also includes the 512 MB of internal memory (seen as a memory unit by the 360), which means more memory in total. The only cosmetic imperfection I noticed was the small scratch on the HDD, but other than that everything seems brand new. When I started the 360 it guided me through the initial setup and everything and everything worked great. What really surprised me was that the update to run original Xbox games was already included in the system so I was able to play my copy of Blinx: The Time Sweeper without even updating. If you want an Xbox 360 for a very cheap price and don't want to save up for the Xbox 360 Slim then this is the best choice for you! Also for those who are hesitant, picture this, you buy a new Xbox 360 Arcade for $199.99, but you don't get the Hard Drive, extra controller, headset or the component cables, and if you did buy that separately it'd cost almost the amount for a new Xbox 360 Elite, and that still doesn't come with the extra controller. With this you're getting a great deal! Also I took a lot of detailed pictures and uploaded them as customer images, but for some reason they appear to be combined with the other XBox 360 customer images and aren't accessible from the product pages. I'm not sure if it's a glitch or not but I hope Amazon fixes it. Until then you can access them by using the link below:http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-media/product-gallery/B00309S9YW/ref=cm_cmu_pg_setImg?ie=UTF8&totalImages=62&pageSize=10&sort=newest¤tImagePage=0¤tImagePageOffset=1¤tImageID=mo11LBMS13OPSAO&action=setImg&page=0

*NOTE AGAIN THAT THIS WAS PURCHASED FROM AMAZON, NOT ANOTHER SELLER*A checklist that should tell you exactly why you want this.-This is a Microsoft refurbished console. That means it will be in 360 packaging with resealed cords, controllers, and headset (I'm tempted to say that my headset was brand new, and maybe even my cords, but I don't want to claim that without knowing. Regardless. There is something nice about not opening a clamshell sealed 360 that smells like lung cancer.) The condition is pristine. NO dirt or smudges. One sticker on the bottom that says refurbished. Mine left a bit of sticky when I took it off. Nail polish remover will get it off without pain if you are worried about that.-It will come with the new power-brick that is vented, it also has the new Jasper chip. This means: Even though you are getting a refurbished console, it is technically more sound than a brand new 20 gig from Microsoft's original batches. Rest easy my friend. This console was not made to break. It's like it got a tune up. These two features paired together will fight overheating and RED RING OF DEATH.-It does have HD-Mine came with 2 controllers, which at the time wasn't advertised (so it was a nice surprise). Cross your fingers about that if it's not openly included.-If you don't already know, because it has a hard drive you will be able to connect to Xboxlive out of the box, though for online play I would recommend buying a 12 month live subscription. You can easily find them online for 35ish dollars. If you pay more you didn't look hard enough. :)Hope this helps in your decision. As for my console it runs like a charm, for long periods (when I say this I mean as I waste my whole day away) without any heat at all- and I can really tell the difference because I had a 60gig a few years back- the difference is black and white as far as heat output. I took it on a road-trip (to update it back home) for over 30 hours in total in a backpack that I threw around (gingerly) as I used the bag day to day. Came back home and it was still fine. DO IT. DO IT. DO IT NOW.Happy Buying

A smart purchase. The price was fair and the unit came in excellent conditions. The box states clearly that the console is refurbished as well as a 4x3" silver sticker pasted on the chassis (bottom). On the up side, the bundle includes 2 controllers with batteries and a headset. The A/V cable features Component HD, Composite (RCA)and Stereo Audio outputs. It is Microsoft branded and sturdy. Everything came wrapped in Microsoft branded plastic bags.I am very happy with the purchase. I have advance experience with electronics and have confidence that I can keep the refurbished unit in top condition. However, I recommend it to anyone that is not a hardcore gamer. I haven't detected any odd behavior. The unit performs as expected and hasn't locked down or lagged.
