Songs playlist files were simple to download. Its lightweight nature allows it to be easily carried in a pocket while walking. It conserves my cell phone's battery drain as I enjoy music that is categorized by genres (precisely what I had been searching for). Next month, I plan to use it on an 8-hour flight without the concern of my cell phone's battery charge.

If you have a low frustration level, you will regret the day you got this, believe me. Nothing is obvious and everything works only after multiple episodes of trial and error. Give me back my Sansa, please. If anyone wants this one, check the Goodwill store because that is where it is headed.

Excellent iPod copy. Have fm radio too. And Bluetooth. Was able to download all my music from iTunes and still plenty of room. Took an extra long time to get but no fault of sender. Only problem was Bluetooth. You have to reset ear buds in order to connect. I was able to connect to my JBL earbuds but not my Powerbeats but probably my error not the device. I recommend if your looking for no Algorithms and just straight up music

I bought this as gift for a friend as he likes to listen to music, and this perfect as they can download and listen to simple mp3 device. The reason I bought this because it is suited more for music other than a general phone, and works very well as music device. I will recommend it.

I must have gotten the last one because I was searching for how to add playlists and Amazon says no longer available. Anyway, I bought this because Apple no longer supports my (or anyone else's) iPod even with their wonderful, genius "3 separate programs (that don't work) to replace one iTunes (that worked wonderfully)".I've had it for about a week and I'm still learning how to do stuff. It's easy to load the songs (.mp3) and play them in my truck. So far, so good. Now I've got to figure out how to add playlists and it'll be good to go.So, I use Media Human to download from YouTube, then MP3tag to get the titles, sequence, and artwork right, Save to a folder, and then it's just a drag and drop to the Y1.

Works great. Files transfer fast, and it's easy to use. I use it with a bluetooth speaker.

Santa brought this for our two children. It’s a skinned android device that 1. Has no internet (yes this is absolutely a feature), 2. Is well built (flash memory, Bluetooth, 1/8” headphone jack). 3. Has the old simplistic iPod click wheel. The kids love it. They can pick the song they want to listen to at home or in the car. They each have headphones so no fighting.I love it because they aren’t snagging our old phones and it’s not a source of distraction (admit it, if you have your phone are you on instagram, facebook, or Reddit “just for a second”?), I don’t have to monitor their usage, and all of the songs are approved by Mom & Dad (Fortnite has now introduced Eminem and Snoop Dogg - personally a fan but I don’t need to hassle of the 10 year old rapping the lyrics at school). My only complaint (not a product issue): I’m struggling to find a case or armband. I never knew home many girls clothes didn’t have pockets until I had a daughter.

I'm not sure why I got this apart from the fact that is was just $55. It would be potentially great for someone without a smart phone (who's that?) or a young person without a phone (who's that) who you want to turn on to music, but I guess I'm just a geek who had to have yet another mp3 player. It works ok and even has a tiny speaker and can be plugged into headphones (the buds it comes with are really cheap). It was a bit tricky to get started on my Mac but it worked (you have to hold that center button until until starts and I do mean HOLD it!!). Transferring audio files was a snap and when I got it to work with my Bose wireless headphones it actually sounded great.... BUT it's a pain to connect to many Bluetooth devices and I simply gave up on a few. It's clunky to use (like the iPod it looks like) and the construction feels flimsy, but hey it works and it was only $55 which is why I gave it three stars instead of one. In other words it'll do if you are looking for a cheap mp3 player. There's another version from this company that looks more like an iPhone that goes for $75 instead of $55 and has 160GB instead of just 128GB and maybe I'll waste more money to see if I like that better. I already have a feeling this is going to become a paperweight.

While not 100% perfect, it suits my needs just fine. The menu is straight forward, which is nice because I've had other players at this price range that were annoying to navigate. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the wheel and how nice of a feature it is, it works really well.My biggest issue was that music with my wireless earbuds connected didn't sound loud enough to my liking meanwhile with the wired ones provided the sound was higher. I'm unsure if that is a me issue or a Bluetooth issue for the player. There is also the issue of some music files being renamed or not fully integrating properly but that's a minor annoyance more than anything for me.Others have mentioned a learning curve, I suppose that is true but that is true for any gadget you get, as anytime you get a new electronic one has to figure out how it works and its individual quirks.EDIT/After trying two earbuds with mics and one without, It seems like you need the kind of headset/earbud that has no mic for the music to sound higher. Still love this player but it is a minor inconvenience.

As a taxi driver, this is great! I do a lot of long runs at about 2.5 hrs one way. I have very happy clients, because I have a huge assortment of music for them to pick from. I know it is working because my last 3 hr drive, my client, picked the music she wanted and then sang with her choices for most of the trip. I am still figuring this out as I use it. Love it!
