Awesome bits drill thru metal like butter

This product does the job with ease. I was not sure that this would work through different layers of material but widened the hole like butter.The drills come in a neat metal box which fits perfectly in my drill case.I have no need to buy this product again because it will meet my needs for a lifetime.

this is a great set to have mine have stage sharp and if you know how to sharpen them they will last you for a long time to come it's really simple just look it up on YouTube and there's video showing how to sharpen them All you need is a hand grinder

First of all, I truly believe the old saying that you get what you pay for....so take this review for what it's worth. The cost of these drill bits was very inexpensive. I don't need or use them all the time. In fact I've only used them once to drill through structural steel framing on my RV to add under chassis storage. They performed very well and cut through the steel like it was butter. I drilled 1/2" diameter holes after setting a pilot hole. I cannot vouge for the longevity or how they will hold up, but if you're a home DIY'er, these should be adequate for most projects. If I ran a shop and used these frequently, it might not be the ticket, but again for the price, these things are disposable. They come in a small metal case to hold them, which is nice for storing. I can't knock them at this time.

Given the price, assuming they are any good isn't exactly logical, so I really don't care that they died out so quickly. Just don't read to far into what they claim it to be rated for. Being cobalt, it SHOULD work well on stainless steel, but I got maybe 3 uses on one till it was shot. They are probably fine for home projects, just don't buy them expecting them to even hold up a single shift in the commercial world.Edit:Some one reached out to me from their customer service department offering a full refund. I greatly appreciate the way they handle these situations and I am not trying to discredit them. The environment that I work in usually requires more heavy duty tools and bits, so I turned down the refund knowing full well that I bought this without expecting them to really last that long. Typically the bits I buy that end up lasting a good bit of time are around $60-$80 for a single bit, so I can't complain about these too much, I just wanted to point out that if you are working in environments that are typically harsh on bits, you may not get much use.

Decent tools for the money. Do not expect being on par with brand names (with significantly higher price tag). Coating is wearing off easily, material is not true HSS Cobalt. It works well on plastic, but not quite as well on non-ferrous materials (aluminum, brass) if the material is thick. As I bought it for thin and light sheet drilling, I do not care for the behavior on tougher materials, but I doubt it would keep working for long even on annealed steel. I recommend the product for drilling openings in plastic and aluminum enclosures. It offers a wide variety of drilling steps and makes a good price point choice if only used on light materials.
