Hopefully a bad unit, but it will now only turn on when plugged in. Will update if any more go out.

There's No indication of charging, when charging begins or ends. The brightness is good and it's light weight.

Got this to help with traffic control at a local drive-in. Brightness is great, quality is horrible, feels like a child's toy. Less than a month layer the wand keep falling off and wires are now broken making it useless. Also charger is not a standard type so if it goes bad your done.

Battery life is low to medium. Construction is semi disposable, but on par for this kind of product. Proprietary charge cable. Honestly, not seeing the advantage vs a normal battery powered version. At least THOSE you can replace the batteries in seconds. I have a much better USB chargable wand that I rather like, but this one, meh.

Apparently the manufacturer has updated the product before they updated the packaging. The box says you need two D batteries, but it is obviously equipped with a rechargeable Li battery and includes a charging cable. BTW, there is no fall-back mode to use standard batteries. Anyway, it is light and easy to hold all day. Three modes: Off, On, Flash. Good visibility at several hundred yards. Good value as reviewed at ~$15.Made in China
