We have an outdoor showwer need to winterize. It has brass NPT plugs. I could buy two plugs at the hardware store for more money than I paid for this package of ten.. Machining is good no leaks..

These fit the bill and work as noted but, I don't think these are solid brass...they appear to be an alloy of some kind. Just be aware of that, if it's not important, then the fittings do what they do and work.

These are very lightweight. If you look at the pictures they aren't solid brass. Not a bad thing, just a difference between them and the usual plugs that have a square head. They do look nicer than the square headed plugs. I'm not sure if that matters for most plumbing applications though.I got them for airlines. When working with airlines I'm much more likely to be dealing with hex shaped connectors and they will be visible. Over all they are plugs for pipes. Kind of hard to mess them up.

I needed to temporarily plug a 1/4 NPT interiorly-treaded pipe. These fit perfect, sealed it tight (teflon tape was used), and seem to be holding well. The hexagonal top fits my wrench. This tells me they were machined properly from a decent brass.

The threads are accurate and these thread on to a garden hose FNPT or an FNPT plumbing fitting. Whether you need to plug something temporarily or permanently these are well machined brass fittings that solve a very particular need should you have it.

5 stars for solid brass. I have used these to plug up a few pipe locations. Gotta use pipe thread sealant, such as Rector, which Amazon has. The plugs are 3/4 inch NPT as advertised.I sealed the threads with >>> Rectorseal 25790 1-3/4-Ounce Tube No.5 Pipe Thread Sealant (Amazon)
