I use heat shrink tubing for covering uninsulated wire segments and solder splices. This kit is handy because it contains 7 diameters, and I never had that many sizes on hand before. Having both red and black colors is convenient for identifying separate bundles or connections.The heat shrink tubing in this kit shrinks better than most. It boasts a 4:1 shrink ratio, compared to the more typical 2:1 and available 3:1. There's a heat-released adhesive inside to keep the heat shrink in place. They're all a standard length of 1.7", and of course you can trim them as needed for shorter lengths.All the pieces are in a compartmentalized plastic box for easy storage, and it makes it trivial to find the right diameter for your needs.

These heat shrink pieces have a 4:1 size reduction and won't melt if heated too long or a flame is used to activate. I really like how well they adhere and function. I use heat shrink all the time but typically they have a 3:1 shrink ratio and deform easily of over heated or I use a flame instead of a heat gun these are far superior and are fairly priced and worth every penny. If you use heat shrink I definitely recommend these for you. I have been invited to participate in the Amazon Vine program and it is my responsibility to offer an unbiased opinion. This kit is amazing for around 15 bucks. It has a huge assortment of different diameter tubing in black and red. The shrink ratio is excellent and requires just the normal amount of heat.I'm really impressed with the case as well, it has four clasps to hold it together so even though it is a large case, the tubing stays in its proper compartment. I don't like having to fish through a bunch of random sizes that get jumbled together.

Normally I'm not telling my friends about my latest adventures in heat shrink tubing, I do have some nerd dignity! However, when I find a product that not only meets my hobbyist needs for home electronic products but also works well for my automotive and off road vehicle lighting systems, I tell them all about it.First of all, I like the nice slimline case, its easy to store and keeps everything compartmentalized. The latches aren't so hard to open that you end up spiling the contents on the floor. The adhesive lining means for my outdoor projects, I'm not sleeving the wire with multiple diameters of heat shrink to a waterproof connection. This is really a one and done solution. So if you want to join the club boring your geek friends at parties. Buy this kit and you'll have a ton to tell them!

This 4 to 1 heat shrink tubing kit is exactly what I needed for my wiring projects. The adhesive lined tubing creates a solid seal when heated, and I like that the kit comes with both black and red pieces, making it easy to keep track of different wiring jobs.One thing I really appreciate is the storage case. It’s thin and about 12 inches long, which makes it easy to store while also giving a clear view of all the different sizes. I don’t have to dig around to find the right piece, which saves time when I’m in the middle of a project. The tubing shrinks evenly and holds tight, so I know the connections will stay secure. Overall, this is a great set to have on hand for electrical and wiring work.

This is a very substantial set of heat shrink tubing. It's difficult to tell from the product photos, but the set is much larger than I would have thought. The case these come in is about 12.6 x 8.6". The case is only .75" thick so the assortment should fit most any toolbox drawer.The set includes 7 different size / diameters that should cover most wiring sizes you might need. Both red and black are included except for the 1/2". The mix of red and black detailed isn't accurate. There aren't even amounts of red and black on all sizes.The product detail needs to be updated as the text and video claim different shrink ratios: e.g. 4:1 in the text, 3:1 in the video. It would make more sense if the mix of red and black matched what is identified in the product detail as well.The set comes nicely packaged in a plastic organizer case with compartments to separate sizes and colors. The case includes latches on the front and sides to keep the lid in place when not in use, and the bin contents neatly separated.The package includes a printed sheet that identifies the sizes and quantities of each compartment.Though the total count and sizes indicated in the product detail are accurate, the colors are not. In the photos you'll note that there are 2 bins containing 3/32 red and 1 black bin. On the 1/8 and 3/16 sizes, there are 2 bins of black and 1 of red. I don't find this a significant detractor though the detail of contents could be improved.There were a couple of pieces of tubing that were significantly shorter than the others but don't see this as a significant detractor.
