I bought this for the protection of my family. It can be powered by solar or can be wound up when there is no power. You can pick up emergency messages and weather broadcasts. It also has a flashlight and a phone charger. It's very well made and works well. My family is ready if, god forbid, anything ever happens, is yours?

Purchased to use in our harsh Pennsylvania wintry weather.Worked well during one of our snowstorms and blizzards. The radio stations relayed all the pertinent weather info.we needed to know. You can plug it into a electrical outlet or hand crank it to use or you can use batteries in it which helps. There is also a light feature on it should you need it.Overall, great radio.

Smaller than anticipated, best to charge at home, solar took too long, could be better

I ended up returning the unit due to hard to read switches on the unit. I inadvertently hit the sos button by accident several times, which was no fun. Trying to see what each button did was very difficult as labels are embossed into the black rubber. Had the function symbols been painted in, it would have been better. Due to the digital stations being programed, one could not dial for other stations. Plus, I was not crazy about each station being given a designation, for example PO1, PO2, etc. after the mhz reading. Never understood why those designations were needed as couldn't pick one directly on demand. I couldn't scan along for a non-programmed station. The compass never worked, though that wasn't important to me. Sound was good, unit appeared well made as a whole. Had I been able to dial the stationed up and down the scale, I would have kept it. Flashlite was very reasonably good. I am going back to order a unit with a simple knob dialing type of emergency weather radio where I can scan thru the dial. The unit is priced right had it been easier to operate. Liked it's size, weight and overall looks. Appeared durable.

This is a great little radio it has many functions lights , battery life ,cranking to charge the battery, it and also the solar panel for charging. This little radio is well worth the money. You can charge your phone even. The radio sounds great and easy to use the reception is excellent I put a piece of aluminum foil on the Antenna to bring in better reception even. The radio is small enough to put in a backpack, I have mine in my hurricane supplies. 5 star

The compass is generally 90 degrees off mark. This design is almost an antique. I remember a clip-on version of this 3o years ago that would attach to one's wrist watch band. The manufacturer can do better than this. The device seemed to charge OK with USB C. I did not test solar or hand crank charge. The flashlights and reading light worked OK.The FM band auto scan seemed to work OK. I live in a metro area of about 1.25 million and the scan identified and saved 30 stations! (Scan was made inside my house). However the AM band auto scan was a different matter: as the scanner moved from 530 KHZ to 1710 KHZ not a single station was found; on a repeat trial a single station was found but that trial ended at 1710 KHZ with "ERR"! and no stations were saved. I moved the device outside of my house and repeated the AM band auto scan, with the same results: no stations found, or a single station found with "ERR" reported at the end of the scan. Totally unacceptable.Auto scan of WB found and saved 1 station.I really wanted the AM band to work so I emailed the seller, describing my findings and requesting any help they could give me. Unfortunately, after five days there is no response from their customer service.Total non-function of AM band and lack of customer support are deal-breakers as far as I am concerned, and I am returning the device to Amazon.com.

This little radio is more than just a radio, it has power and flashlight. It's got a super strong battery that charges three ways, with the sun, a hand crank, and also a USB. That means even if the power goes out, I'll still be able to hear important weather alerts or get help if you need it. It also doubles as a flashlight, a reading light, and even has an SOS alarm if in trouble. The display is easy to read and the sound is surprisingly clear, even when I'm using it outside. It's a little bulky, but I don't mind because it's worth it for all the features it comes with. If you're looking for an emergency radio that can do it all, this one is definitely worth checking out.
